Holiday Inn Steamboat Springs

The three-pearl Holiday Inn Steamboat Springs occupies a long, two-story building in an isolated area just off US Highway 40. The on-site popular restaurant, Rex's American Grill and Bar, is located just next door. The decor throughout is generic but well maintained. In the lobby, brown sofas are arranged around a table to create a cozy sitting area. Behind a partition there's another space for lounging with a large stone fireplace and a few tables and lime green chairs. The brown and lime green color scheme continues with area rugs covering the lobby and carpets lining the corridors. The hotel caters to families traveling to the Steamboat Springs skiing area with plenty of family-friendly features including an outdoor pool, indoor pool, and game room. 

Holiday Inn Steamboat Springs is located just off US Highway 40, and it's a seven-minute drive away from the ski town of Steamboat Springs, where the closest shops and restaurants are located. The Steamboat Ski Resort is just a five-minute drive away, and it’s a four-minute drive to Haymaker Golf Course. Other local attractions are within easy driving distance: It’s a five-minute drive to the Old Town Hot Springs, a 24-minute drive to Strawberry Park Natural Hot Springs, and a 15-minute drive to Fish Creek Falls. The closest airport is Steamboat Springs-Bob Adams Field Airport, a 13-minute drive away.

The guest rooms here are decorated in a simple but classic style, with a red and gold color scheme. The walls are painted a cheerful saffron yellow, while the floors are lined with carpets in reddish and orange tones. The oak furniture has a warm feel, and the many lamps add a cozy ambiance. The bathrooms are somewhat cramped, featuring marble sink tops and shower/tub combos. Rooms at the back of the hotel have balconies with dazzling views of the nearby mountains and a lake. All rooms have convenient amenities including coffeemakers, mini-fridges, microwaves, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, free Wi-Fi (which can be slow at times), and hairdryers and free toiletries in the bathroom.

The Holiday Inn Steamboat Springs has both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as several hot tubs located in the outdoor courtyard. There is a large and spacious fitness center with two treadmills, two elliptical machines, a free motion trainer, one stationary bike, four different weight machines, and a variety of free weights.

The casual American-style restaurant, Rex's American Grill and Bar, is open from morning to evening, and gets good reviews from both guests and locals. Hotel guests can buy breakfast vouchers from reception to be used at the restaurant. The business center has several computers available plus fax, copying, and printing services. There’s also an on-site meeting room with over 1,000 square feet of space.
