The five-story Staybridge Suites
St. Petersburg is situated on the edge of downtown St. Petersburg, neighboring
a green and grassy park and the interstate. The interiors are bright and modern, with simple, contemporary furniture and lots of natural light courtesy of large windows. The airy lobby is a big open space with a limestone fireplace at its center,
which helps to separate the cozy living room area from the spacious,
high-ceilinged dining area and breakfast room. The living room features modern couches
and seating centered around a large window. Vibrant artwork enlivens the mostly
gray space, as do fresh bursts of potted bamboo plants flanking a wide
flat-screen TV. The dining area is illuminated by a huge window and comprised
of a collection of black tables and pale yellow chairs on a geometric patterned
rug, as well as an ottoman couch lining one of the walls. The spaces have an
eye for contemporary design, with sleek and clean lines, and pops of color thanks to bold paintings adorning walls throughout the hotel. An outdoor courtyard
dotted with a handful of palm trees has several umbrella-shaded seating options
and a lovely heated pool and patio. A barbecue grill area is often host to
social events aimed at allowing guests to mix and mingle, such as the hotel’s
happy hour several times a week. The inviting atmosphere attracts a variety of
guests who don’t mind being a tad removed from the heart of downtown (the hotel
provides a free downtown area shuttle). Business travelers value the convenient
location right off of the interstate and availability of meeting and conference
rooms, as well as a business center. Families are attracted to the heated
outdoor pool and well-equipped kitchenettes in every room, which also suit
extended stays.

from the green and grassy Campbell Park Recreation Center. Situated on the edge
of downtown St. Petersburg, the hotel is within walking distance of many

The Dali museum and the waterfront are a mile away, about a 20-minute walk
straight down 5th Ave S. There is a bus stop in front of the
property, and the hotel operates a free shuttle around the area.

open studio layout with comfortable sofas or armchairs. Modern bathrooms have
separate sink areas with adjoining bath and toilet rooms that have either
shower/tub combos or walk-in showers. Some rooms overlook the pool or
neighboring park; others have lackluster views of the interstate.

The hotel has an lovely tiled
courtyard dotted with palm trees and planters full of shrubs and flowers. A heated pool is surrounded by a handful of sun chairs, and umbrella-shaded
tables are scattered throughout the patio. Barbecue grills are available, and
the hotel often hosts social happy hours with drinks and a medley of free
snacks and mini meals (three times a week). A free hot breakfast is served
daily in the dining area of the lobby and includes breakfast pizza, fresh
waffles, cereals, fruit, oatmeal, pastries, and a selection of eggs, sausage,
or bacon. There is no full restaurant.The hotel has a small fitness room
equipped with modern machines, as well as a meeting and conference room,
