Location
On the bay in the heart of the historic district
The Hilton St. Augustine is conveniently located in the historic district, within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and sights. St. Augustine is nicknamed the "Ancient City" and is the oldest continually occupied European-established city in the country. The city is known for its romantic vibe with streets lined by beautiful architecture. Some buildings date back to the 1600s while "newer" structures from the 19th-century still celebrate the Spanish Colonial style but on a larger and grander scale.St. George Street is the main street of St. Augustine's historic district. Almost all attractions center around the city's history; Castillo de San Marco, the oldest masonry fort in the U.S., attracts visitors, as does the Markland Mansion, and even the original Ripley's Believe It or Not! is housed in a historic mansion. The historic district has a compact but lively nightlife with one of the most popular activities being ghost tours. Anastasia Park has some of the best beaches in the area, as well as a lagoon and several hiking and walking trails.- 10-minute drive to Northeast Florida Regional Airport
