This Comfort Inn keeps things simple and cozy, as to be expected from this chain. Although conveniently located just off I-95, the property can be tricky to find as it's situated behind a Shell gas station. The three-story beige and brick exterior is surrounded by well-kept lawns and flower patches, while pitched roofs and glass doors make for an understatedly elegant entranceway. Inside, the lobby feels like a comfortable living room, with polished wood floors and a staircase with white railings leading to the rooms. A casual seating area is furnished with navy blue armchairs and a couch around a fireplace and flat-screen TV. Nice touches, like small ceramic-top tables, tropical plants, and wood-framed landscape paintings enhance the warm atmosphere. Guests, who typically include families and business travelers, can also relax around the oval-shaped outdoor pool, where there are some white plastic loungers lining the sundeck. 

This property is set just off I-95, behind a Shell gas station, and it's a three-minute drive (or 11-minute walk) to the St. Augustine Premium Outlets. There are other hotels, fast food restaurants, and gas stations in the immediate area. Downtown St. Augustine and the Lightner Museum, which holds American Gilded Age antiquities, are both a 13-minute drive away. The World Golf Hall of Fame is just over 10 minutes by car. St. Augustine Beach is a 20-minute drive. Jacksonville and its local airport are both about a 35-minute drive away.

Rooms and suites at this property are all decorated in a similarly warm, simple style that's a bit bland and chain-like, though pleasant and clean: Beige carpeting and light-green walls are paired with dark floral curtains, mid-tone wood furniture, and beige and blue bedding. Each room has a work desk with an office chair, microwave, mini-fridge, flat-screen TV, safe, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Bathrooms feel somewhat dated with beige tile, long mirrors and granite countertops, and white shower/tub combos; hairdryers and basic toiletries are provided. Suites with separate sitting areas are also available. Note that rooms facing the interstate can get some traffic noise. 

This Comfort Inn & Suites offers a free daily breakfast with hot and cold items such as fresh fruit, eggs, waffles, and bacon, served in a homey breakfast room with tile floors and wood furniture. The hotel also has a small outdoor pool surrounded by a sundeck lined with plastic loungers. A small fitness room is equipped with a few cardio machines, but no weights.
