Scene
Wooden decor with ample lounge areas for optimal relaxation
Hotel Quelle Nature Spa Resort has a clear alpine style, with warm wooden walls, floors, and exteriors throughout the venue. There's a lot of communal space for relaxation both indoors and out, and the property added a sleek indoor/outdoor pool and new terrace seating in 2016. Some of the decor is a bit dated, but it’s charming and doesn’t detract from the experience. The hotel is most suitable for couples looking for a relaxing and private vacation that focuses primarily on health and wellness, though families are welcome as well as there are many activities for children. Since the hotel is so secluded, guests should expect to spend the majority of their time on or near the premises.
Location
Secluded hotel location in the Dolomites of northern Italy
The South Tyrol province of Italy is rather secluded, which can be great for nature seekers but difficult to get to. The closest international airport to Hotel Quelle is Innsbruck Airport is in northern lying Austria, which is still a two-hour drive both ways. It is possible to get to the hotel by train, but there are quite a few stops on the way and a necessary transfer in order to get to Welsberg, where the nearest station is located. From there, the hotel can pick guests up for free upon request one day in advance.
Rooms
Spacious, individually designed rooms and suites
There are 12 different rooms in total at Hotel Quelle. None are the same, as each has its own theme. They range from the Single Waldblick room, suitable for one, to the three-bedroom Royal Dolomites suite that can house up to six guests. Units rely heavily on knotted wood accents, from the walls to the furnishings; some rooms feel very sightly dated, but somehow it only serves to make them more homey. Touches like patterned couches and floral artwork make the spaces feel cozy. Amenities include free Wi-Fi and free espresso machines. Bathrooms are spacious and clean with adequate counter space, marble countertops, and a distinctive style depending on room type. Every room has a balcony, and the sweeping mountain views are a clear highlight.
