Reception is warm and cozy with wooden floors, a fireplace, and comfy brown leather armchairs. There’s often differing holiday decorations throughout the year. The atmosphere at this hotel is warm and welcoming, especially for families as it offers plenty of kid-friendly amenities and activities throughout the week. There’s not a lot of indoor spaces beyond an Activities Center, so most guests are seen enjoying the outdoor play and picnic areas.

As far as location goes, this property is convenient. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the beaches of South Lake Tahoe, which guests can access for free thanks to a pass provided by reception staff. The gondola at Heavenly Mountain Resort, an area with plenty of shopping and dining options, is just an 11-minute walk away. There’s another gondola that’s a 24-minute walk from the property. The Montbleu Casino takes 19 minutes to reach on foot. It’s a 45-minute drive to Emerald Bay State Park. The Reno-Tahoe International Airport is an hour-and-15-minute drive away.
