Scene

Roman villa with beautiful terraces overlooking Gulf of Naples

Built on the foundations of the villa where Emperor Augustus was exiled, the gorgeous, historic architecture at Bellevue Syrene mixes with classic, elegant décor. Stone walls with arch cut-outs provide an inspiring backdrop for the outdoor pool and a tunnel cut through the cliff leads guests down to the private sunbathing deck on the sea. Romantic meals can be enjoyed under a gorgeous wisteria pergola on a terrace overlooking the sea. The solarium lobby is bright and open with plenty of stylish seating and guests can enjoy a relaxing cocktail here or on the outdoor patio while listening to live piano music.

Location

Overlooking Gulf of Naples in Piazza della Vittoria

Bellevue Syrene is located in the quiet Piazza della Vittoria in Sorrento on a cliff overlooking the Bay of Naples. The hotel is on the edge of the town’s center, and several restaurants are nearby. The Basilica di Sant'Antonino is less than a 10-minute walk. Ferries to Naples and Capri can be taken at the Sorrento Port, which is less than a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Naples International Airport is just over an hour’s drive away in no traffic.

Rooms

Balconies with ocean views; colorful modern furnishings or decadent baroque decor

Every room at the Bellevue Syrene has a balcony with ocean views. All rooms are spacious, but room styles vary widely. Some have white tile floors and walls painted purple or blue with modern furnishings like colorful bed frames and matching chairs, while the Deluxe Amore room is an extravagant baroque room with a gold chandelier and over-the-top gold and floral wall designs. The hotel also offers a suite with a grotto pool. All rooms have minibars, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, and free Wi-Fi.

Features

Small pool, free wine and light fare, and private sunbathing deck

A small outdoor pool has lounge chairs facing the sea, and at the bottom of the cliff, a big, wooden private sunbathing deck is open to guests in the summer. A small spa has a hammam and provides beauty services including manicures and pedicures, and the fitness center is in a small room with a TV and only has a treadmill, exercise bike, bench, and handweights. There is a library featuring books by locals, and the Club Lounge offers free canapés, local wine, and coffee and tea.
