Bottom Line

This quaint, small B&B in the heart of downtown Sonoma is made up of six homey and attractive bungalows. Each bungalow is different -- some have wood-burning fireplaces, others have Jacuzzi tubs, separate living areas, or full kitchens -- so guests should specify exactly what they want when booking. The property is lacking certain amenities, such as a pool and a gym (although guests receive free passes to a nearby health club that has both). But the location is prime: Just around the corner is Sonoma Plaza, full of shops and restaurants, and the bungalows are right on the Sonoma Bike Path, leading to more than 40 area wineries.

Bungalows 313

Location

A half-block from Sonoma Plaza

Bungalows 313 is housed in a convenient location just a half a block from Sonoma Plaza's restaurants, shops, and cafes. It's right on the bike path that will take you (by rented bike or on foot) to more than 40 area wineries.

An area steeped in history, Sonoma is one of the most interesting cities in Sonoma Valley (as well as the closest area to numerous fine wineries). The largest plaza in California at eight acres, the Sonoma Plaza is surrounded by historically-significant buildings, such as Mission San Francisco Solano (the last mission to be built on El Camino Real), the former Blue Wing Inn, where Ulysses S. Grant once spent the night, and the Sebastiani Theater.
