Bottom Line
Despite its name, GUSTI Bed & Breakfast Singapore is a hostel, not a bed-and-breakfast. There are no private rooms here -- just simple dorms with wooden bunks and shared bathrooms -- but the rates are some of the lowest in town. The property is located in a quiet street with limited dining options nearby, but public transportation is just around the corner. Wi-Fi and a basic breakfast are included in rates, though towel rentals cost extra.

Bare-bones hostel with large communal lounges
The GUSTI is owned by an Indonesian expat who also operates the hostel. It occupies all but the ground floor of a four-story commercial building and there's a small lounge area and lockers beside the front desk on the hostel's bottom floor. Communal lounges are found on every floor thereafter and are adorned with photographs from a local photographer (the owner's sister) and comfortable couches.
