Grand Park City Hall

Grand Park City Hall is a stylish hotel. The cavernous lobby is a free-flow area, and offers little in the way of seating, but further in there are a few sofas, and a huge skylight floods the space with light. It has an elegant style with contrasting European-style traditional paintings hung on the walls. Plenty of seating is on hand both in the bar and in the restaurant off the lobby, though perhaps most popular is the laid-back pub, with a leafy interior courtyard, where guests relax with drinks to a mellow soundtrack. It's a busy hotel with over 300 guest rooms, so it attracts a wide range of guests, including corporate travelers, couples, and groups of friends or family. 

The Grand Park City Hall is located in the heart of the city, on busy Hill Street. It's five minutes on foot from popular Raffles City shopping center and from pretty Fort Canning Park. It's less than a 10-minute walk to many top attractions, including the National Gallery, Peranakan Museum, and the National Museum, plus top shopping/dining in Clarke Quay. City Hall metro is in the next building, a five-minute walk away, and connects with Raffles Place downtown in about 20-minutes. The simplest route to Chinatown is by bus from North Bridge Road, which takes about 20 minutes. Buses also leave from Stamford Court to Orchard Road shopping in a transit time of about 30 minutes. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus that loops around the city, with stops at Orchard Road and Marina Bay, plus major MRT stations. Changi International is around a 15- to 20-minute drive away, or an hour via the metro from City Hall. 

Rooms in the Grand Park City Hall are spacious and decorated in a stylish finish of light brown and cream colors against dark furniture. Modern amenities included in all rooms are flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, safes, minibars, air-conditioning, electric kettles, and free smartphones. The Crystal Club Rooms and Suites add access to the Club Lounge for free perks like breakfast and cocktails. Perakanan Suites have touches of the colorful culture in their decor, and a separate living room, while the top-floor elegant Governor Suites have a dining and living room, plus a balcony with a private outdoor whirlpool. New rooms for summer 2017 promise a more contemporary look, with large smart TVs and glass-walled bathrooms with rain showers. Bathrooms are marble, and feature a separate bathtub and shower, toiletries, and hairdryers. The Club Rooms and Suites add robes and slippers.

The Grand Park City Hall has a good selection of features available. There's Indulge at Park which has a buffet of light bistro-style dishes from around the world, available for all meals including breakfast, and Greg's Seafood Shack, which serves lunch and dinner both in the restaurant and in the pretty courtyard garden of the adjoining Beer Tavern. The Beer Tavern itself has a menu of snacks and drinks served late. Room service is available 24 hours. Until the end of 2018, many features are under renovation, including the pool and spa, but there is a free shuttle that connects with some of the hotel's sister properties in the city, where guests have free access to the amenities. The bus also stops at Orchard Road and Marina Bay shopping hot spots. There is a business center and meeting rooms, plus a small 24-hour gym and 24-hour room service. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
