The Palazzo Pantaleo B&B is a lovely, if not upscale, hotel that resides on the top floor of a 19th-century townhouse. Almost all guests mention the wonderful hospitality and helpfulness of the owner who creates a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The lobby is bathed in yellows with comfortable wooden seating; antique light fixtures throughout hint at the building's history. There is an elevator and the hallways are modern with lovely floors, a spiral staircase, and a beautiful kitchen. All common areas are bright, especially the inviting breakfast room. This room has black-and-white tile, tea party-esque chairs and tables, and is surrounded by windows with views of the surrounding area. The front desk is a small, personal desk with two chairs in front of it, which leaves an intimate, personal impression.

The Regional Gallery, Cathedral of Palermo, Cuba, and Catacombe dei Cappuccini are under a 10-minute drive away, but public transportation can get you there if you don’t have a rental car. A rental car is only necessary if you plan to leave Palermo.

Large, quaint rooms with a mix of vintage and modern style
Each soundproofed room at the Palazzo Pantaleo B&B is large and has its own style. Yellows and blues in the bedspreads, curtains, and lovely tile flooring adorn several rooms while others have green walls with red/orange bedspreads and black and white tile floors. All rooms have Frette Italian sheets and nice balconies. Some rooms have beautiful chandeliers while others feature antique light fixtures, although they all feel more charming than luxe. Bold artwork hangs on the walls and the small lamps around the rooms make them feel homey. Additionally, some rooms have seating areas with red couches and wood chairs, while others have herringbone wood floors and lovely wood furnishings. A room is available for disabled guests, and there are minibars stocked with free bottled water, air-conditioning, and flat-screen TVs. Bathrooms are also large, but only have showers and no tubs. The white and gray tile is a little bit plain, but updated, and there are bidets.
