Bottom Line
This mid-range resort overlooking the coast of Ragusa is in a prime location with a great private beach complete with sun chairs, umbrellas, and water sport rentals. Manicured green spaces, swimming pools, sports fields, and entertainment for kids and families means guests don't spend much time in the basic but bright rooms. The hotel caters to its French guests, and many of the on-site entertainment options are in French and Italian. There's lots to do on property and a shuttle service available, but those who want to explore further afield should bring a car.

Scene
With retro (read: dated) decor, this property is popular with families.
The large property is clean, modern, and bright; the expansive lobby has a 1950s retro (or dated, depending on your view) vibe. Furniture includes a round orange bench and brightly colored armchairs clustered around small round tables. The property is dotted with stone pillars and palm trees, which surround the freeform pool along with orange sun beds. The hotel’s sandy private beach has plenty of lounge chairs and palm umbrellas. The on-site restaurant is large and canteen-like, with pleasant outdoor seating areas. The atmosphere is fun for a family, but sophisticated enough for travelers without kids.
Location
On the coast of southern Sicily, a short drive to Pozzallo
The resort is located along a highway, right near the water and is attached to a private beach on Maganuco Bay. The main commercial areas are not within walking distance, however. It’s about a 10-minute drive to the center of Pozzallo, and Modica is a 20-minute drive away. A car is a good idea, though the hotel can arrange shuttle service to both areas. The Catania Fontanarossa Airport is 80 minutes away. On-site parking is free.

Wooden armoires and built-in nightstands provide storage space. Bathrooms in the standard rooms have tubs with handheld showers, while the superior rooms have large stall showers with rain showerheads. There are single sinks and hairdryers attached to the wall. Some rooms have balconies with partial sea views. Wi-Fi isn't available in the guest rooms.
Features
Two pools, a private beach, several sports courts, and free breakfast as well as live entertainment -- but no fitness center
The pool area includes a large adult and an adjacent kids' pool with a large solarium. There are two restaurants serving Italian food, including one by the water, and two bars. Continental breakfast is included in room rates and all-inclusive packages can be purchased. The private beach on Maganuco Bay has plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The hotel also employs a team of entertainers and there’s an open-air theater on-site, though non-French speaking guests might not enjoy the show. There's a charge for Wi-Fi, which is only available in the reception area.
