Thin walls, noise travels from within the hotel and the busy street outside

Not as secluded as many other La Digue hotels
The petite nine-room Le Repaire Boutique Hotel
is an upscale property located near the center of La Digue’s main
village and right on a private beach. Rooms are clean, spacious, and sunlit, with modern decor and connecting rooms
available for families. The restaurant serves excellent Italian food with a Seychellois twist, and it's popular with locals and tourists alike. The one downside could be the size of the pool, though it still makes for a refreshing dip. Travelers looking for something a bit more removed from the town's hustle and bustle could try La Digue Island Lodge.
Scene
Warm, family-friendly hotel nestled in tropical gardens
Le Repaire Boutique Hotel is a warm,
family-oriented spot with a modern, fresh, and close-to-nature feel thanks to its tropical gardens
with shady rosewood and takamaka trees. The
restaurant is in an open air pavilion, with simple but cool furniture, bright
local artwork on the walls, ceiling fans overhead, and a fully-stocked wine
fridge. Nothing at Le
Repaire is particularly fancy, but it's all bright, up-to-date, and well-kept, and the
location -- very close to all the village shops and restaurants -- makes this a
great choice for guests who don’t want to be far away from civilization. On the
flip side, civilization does make itself known here, as the street outside is
packed with passing bikers and vacationers, and all the resulting noise.
Location
In a busy area on a pretty beach and close to the village center
Le Repaire Boutique Hotel is located right on the beach, within a five-minute walk of La Digue’s village center and 10 minutes from the
inter-island ferry. There are a number of coffee shops, grocery stores, and
restaurants nearby. Bikes can be rented in the area, and they're the best way to
get around the island. Because Le Repaire is near the harbor, the area is
relatively busy for La Digue, with more hotels next door and plenty of bikers
and tourists passing day and night.
Rooms
Spotless, open, and relaxing rooms with private balconies and modern bathrooms
Rooms at Le Repaire Boutique Hotel are
spotless and open, with private balconies and individual names rather than room numbers. They come in two categories -- Standard and Superior -- but the only
difference is that Superior Rooms have ocean views. The decor is serene, done
in shades of green and cream, with local hardwood furniture. Rooms have twin or king beds, and connecting rooms are available
for families traveling together. Amenities include air-conditioning, laptop safes, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, and mini-fridges. Bathrooms are modern and chic, although they lack tubs and the walk-in showers are tucked behind walls, without proper doors for privacy. But they do include rainfall showerheads and heated towel racks.
Features
Private beach, small swimming pool, lush tropical garden, and an excellent Italian restaurant
Le Repaire Boutique Hotel is set on a small
private beach with super calm surf, shady trees, and sun beds.
The hotel has a private garden surrounding a small pool, great for taking a dip
to cool off, but it's not large enough for serious swimming. There's also an excellent
restaurant on-site that serves an Italian menu with a Seychellois twist, and it's frequented
by both tourists and locals.
