The Hotel Puerta de Sevilla is a budget hotel with antique touches that has an excellent central location and charming hotel, but not much else. Rooms
are small and homey with tiny bathrooms; some experience street noise. Rooms have nice tile flooring, rainfall showerheads, and some have Juliette balconies. A

Scene

A charming hotel with antique style

Hotel Puerta de Sevilla was built in 1929
and is filled with antique furniture, a piano in the lobby, and vintage
paintings. Tan couches and chairs provide
extra seating while a lovely blue and yellow tile fountain gives the room some
color and ambiance. A nice interior patio has white metal, tea party-like
furniture. Gray tile
floors cover the entire hotel, including the rooms, and there are a lot of
windows to provide an excellent amount of natural light. The outdoor terrace is
a good size, but doesn’t have much seating; however, there are nice city views
and planters with flowers. Mostly, the hotel is simple and traditional with only
the essentials.

Location

In the historic center of Seville where attractions are within walking distance

The Hotel Puerta de Sevilla is located in the historic center where bus stops
and shops are within walking distance. The only
parking in the area is next door, and bars, restaurants, and many
attractions are under a 15-minute walk away. Giralda, Alcazar, and the Sevilla
Cathedral are under a 10-minute walk from the hotel, and the train station is a
five-minute drive while the Seville Airport is 13 minutes away.

Rooms

Cheerful rooms with minimal extras; some have Juliette balconies

All of the homey rooms at the Hotel Puerta de Sevilla are on the smaller end,
with some being tiny, and have blue striped wallpaper, antique white furniture,
and gray/white tile. A red bed runner provides a little pop of color, but there’s only
one white wood chair for extra seating. Air-conditioning, a safe that’s free to
use, and flat-screen TVs are included, and some rooms have Juliette balconies
with views of the city. Several rooms though, have loud street noise despite
soundproofing. Bathrooms are tiny with little space to move around and include magnifying
mirrors and Daisy amenities. Showers are also small, but have rainfall
showerheads. Some bathrooms include small pedestal sinks with zero counter
space while others have large gray/white tile counter tops.

Features

Free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and bicycle rentals

There is no on-site restaurant, though a free breakfast at a restaurant next door can be secured by booking online or by phone. Additionally, guests can go on a free walking tour
of the city, but it must be booked when you select your room. There is a
business center available, which is a small wooden desk with a computer, and bicycle
rental. Free Wi-Fi runs throughout and there is only off-site parking (with an
expensive daily fee).
