The location, in a quiet area of the historic center, is ideal for those looking to see Seville’s main attractions.
Scene
A great pick for a luxurious getaway
The home of the Villapanés noble family for almost three centuries, this beautiful baroque palace is now one of the top luxury boutiques in Seville. After its owners sold it to Alma Hotels in the late 2000s, the property underwent extensive renovations, but it has been an independent property since 2014. The palace grandeur remains and guests can still see many of the original architectural details, both in the lovely common spaces and in their rooms. The heavy wrought-iron gates, grand stone staircases, and soaring vaulted ceilings with intricate plasterwork blend easily with the stylish modern decor, at times dark and sexy as in the lounge, or bright and colorful as in the library. The peaceful traditional courtyards feature white marble columns, arched galleries, and lots of plants, and are a great spot for a quiet drink at night.
Location
Within a 15-minute walk of major attractions
Hotel Palacio de Villapanés has a convenient location in the eastern side of the Casco Antiguo, Seville’s charming historic center. It is a quiet spot a little away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas, but still within a 15-minute walk from most sights, including the cathedral, Basílica de La Macarena, Archivo de Indias, and the Metropol Parasol. Casa Pilatos and the Museum of Flamenco are just over five minutes on foot from the hotel. Santa Justa train station, where high-speed trains connecting Seville with Madrid, Córdoba and other main cities, is a quick cab ride away.
Rooms
Stylish contemporary decor, and many original historic details

Dark smoke-hued walls with white moldings, black and white furniture, and wooden floors make for elegant, contemporary spaces, while sturdy wooden windows, intricate coffered ceilings, and rich fabrics are a nod to the hotel’s aristocratic past. Dark marble bathrooms are a highlight here, with double sinks, rain showerheads, and in most rooms, deep soaking tubs. Flat-screen TVs, Tivoli radios, Malin & Goetz toiletries, free minibar items, and free Wi-Fi are all standard amenities. Some rooms have terraces with two loungers, and suites come equipped with Macs.
