This upscale chain hotel is within a 15-minute walk of both the city’s main train station and the outskirts of the historic center. It has a white tablecloth restaurant and a funky, modern tapas lounge. While there’s no pool, guests have use of a privately managed gym and spa on the premises for an additional fee. Rooms are modern and have wood floors, though some beds are made up of two beds pushed together. It's relatively affordable for an upscale property, due to the fact that it's not in the heart of the action.
Scene
An upscale hotel outside of the historic center that's part of the popular NH chain
The Hesperia doesn't look like much from the outside -- the boxy, cream-colored building looks dated and a little worse for wear. Inside, though, the lobby has a lovely classic look, with marble tile floors, a few antiques, hanging brass light fixtures, understated striped fabric armchairs, and Persian rugs. (A few elements, such as the shiny brass elevator doors, feel slightly '90s, though.) The adjacent Hall Restaurant is similarly decorated, while the tapas lounge is fun and electric, with bright orange and lime green walls. There’s also a lovely shaded outdoor space with potted plants.
Location
(Just) within walking distance of the train station and historic center
Hesperia Sevilla is in a commercial area with some bars and restaurants and two major shopping malls nearby. And the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan football stadium is a few blocks away. It’s also about a 15-minute walk to the Santa Justa train station and 15 to 20 minutes by foot to the city’s historic center. The Nervión metro station is right by the hotel, and it’s less than 15 minutes by car to the airport.
Rooms
Rooms with both classic and stylish decor
The property's 244 rooms have a mix of elegant and modern decor. Some rooms have ornate headboards and rich patterned fabrics, while others have simpler, more contemporary furnishings and bed linens. All have wood floors and attractive wood furniture (shades vary from blonde to very dark). Some may find the rooms with contemporary style a tad generic for a an advertised four-star hotel, and the popcorn stucco walls look a bit cheap. Amenities include flat-screen TVs, minibars, safes, and hairdryers. Bathrooms have shower/tub combos with yellow and blue tiles.
Features

The Hesperia has a fitness center and spa managed by an outside company, with an additional fee for usage. A buffet-style breakfast with cooked to order eggs is also available for a fee. There’s an elegant on-site restaurant and a bright tapas lounge, as well as modern meeting rooms for business travelers and a small boutique. Dry cleaning and laundry services are offered too.
