Some rooms and spaces have dated decor
Part of a small Spanish chain, the Ayre Hotel Sevilla is a clean and comfortable property that’s easy on the wallet. It’s very close to the train station (about two minutes on foot), but not as conveniently located when it comes to accessing the city center. Some rooms have been updated and have contemporary style, while others are extremely dated, with wall-to-wall carpeting and floral drapes. Features include an outdoor pool, a fitness center, and a casual restaurant. Travelers looking to be closer to the tourist areas might want to try the similarly priced Hotel Sevilla Center.
Scene
Mix of modern and standard decor
The hotel has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The overall look is modern and stylish in some areas, such as the lobby, with its reflective front desk and funky light fixtures, but a little dated in others, including the bland breakfast room. The pool area is small and looks out on the surrounding buildings; it’s fine for a quick dip but not much of a place to relax.
Location
Next to the train station, though a bit of a walk to the city center
The hotel is next to Seville’s main train station in the Nervión neighborhood, opposite a fast food restaurant in a residential neighborhood. There are some electronics shops nearby, while the historical city center is 10 to 15 minutes away by public transport, or a 25- to 30-minute walk. It’s also near the exit to the highway leading to Seville's airport, which is about a 10-minute drive northeast.
Rooms
Some rooms are stylish, others are dated
The hotel rooms are a mix. Some have been updated with more of a contemporary look, with hardwood floors, Ikea-esque dark wood furniture, and a sophisticated brown, white, and red color palette. Others have dated blue carpeting, bland blue and gold fabrics, and floral drapes. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, safes, and mini-fridges with free bottles of water. The stall showers in the bathrooms are a bit narrow.
Features
Small pool, fitness center, and casual restaurant
Ayre Hotel Sevilla has a small rectangular outdoor pool surrounded by buildings and a fairly spacious and bright fitness center. Cafetería Restaurante Pórtico serves lunch and dinner in a casual atmosphere. Breakfast is offered for an extra fee. Room service is available as well. There are several meeting rooms and a business center with three computers and Internet access.
