The Views Inn Sedona

The Views Inn Sedona is a simple property that's a fine value for being within striking distance of artsy Sedona and the gorgeous red rocks setting all around. This is a motel-style setup, with rooms lining exterior corridors that are centered around a parking area. Nicely kept rock gardens with leafy trees and shrubbery lend some color to the otherwise desert landscape. The best feature here are the views of the red rocks in the distance from much of the property. There's a pleasant, shrubbery-lined row of patio tables and chairs where guests can take in the Sedona-area scenery. Inside is a small lobby and adjoining breakfast area, with a stone-tile floor and beige walls. The lobby has a small U-shaped sitting area beside tall windows, while the pool area outside has some lounge chairs. Largely, though, this isn't the kind of property where guests hang out all day taking advantage of the amenities. Instead, it's a clean place to rest at night after touring the stunning region and most guests are couples looking for budget-friendly stay within a short drive of area attractions. 

This quiet property sits on Highway 179 in the Village of Oak Creek. There’s a gas station across the street from the property and casual restaurants within walking distance. A tourism information office is also within a few minutes' walk. Hiking trails and attractions are easily reached by car, including Bell Rock Trail, which is a five-minute drive from the property. The Chapel of the Holy Cross is a 10-minute drive, and Uptown Sedona can be reached in 15 minutes by car. There, guests will find plenty of dining and shopping options, as well as Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village. Slide Rock and Red Rock State Parks are both about 30 minutes' drive away. The Grand Canyon will take two hours to reach and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is an hour and 40 minutes away by car. 

Rooms are available with one king-size bed or two queen-size beds. Decor is on the dated side and tends to make rooms feel dark. Gray walls hung with pastel wall art and beige carpeting are offset by orange-and-white checkerboard bedspreads with tan bed skirts. Dark reddish-wood furniture includes cabinets that hold flat-screen TVs, microwaves, and mini-fridges. Some rooms have jetted tubs, fireplaces, and/or red rocks views, but otherwise all rooms have similar features. They're nicely sized and open to the exterior hallways of the property. Small nooks outside of the bathrooms contain sinks and vanities where coffeemakers are stored. Ironing facilities and hairdryers are also kept here. Inside, the bathrooms have basic white shower/tub combos (or separate showers and jetted tubs) and toilets. The walls and floors are thin, so light sleepers should request second-floor rooms. Wi-Fi is free. 

Given it's two-pearl status, the amenities here are predictably limited, but there are a few nice-to-haves. The hotel serves a free continental breakfast with items such as hardboiled eggs and cinnamon buns, though the breakfast area is small and can get crowded. Outside are a nicely sized kidney-shaped pool and a small hot tub surrounded by a few lounge chairs. Both are seasonal and the hot tub closes at night. There's also a coin-operated washer and dryer. A desktop computer and printer are available for guests and Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. It's worth noting that the front desk is not staffed around the clock.
