Hotels in Seaside
14 Hotels
Lanai at the Cove
3140 Sunset Blvd

High on value and low on frills, the mid-range Lanai at the Cove is a good choice for vacationers looking to get away from it all. The oceanfront location two miles from the center of bustling Seaside requires a car but gives immediate access to a rocky beach popular with surfers. Rooms are individually owned and decorated, and some are pet-friendly, so inquiring about the specific room prior to booking is essential. Each room has a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave, those that face the ocean include private balconies. An outdoor heated pool is a nice perk for this price range.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Seaside-Convention Center
34 N Holladay Dr

The mid-range Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Seaside Convention Center is a solid choice for families and even business travelers visiting the picturesque coastal town of Seaside. Situated on the Necanicum River, it’s a short walk from the ocean, downtown, and the convention center. Highlights include free hot breakfast, a 24-hour fitness center, whirlpool, and sauna, and free parking and Wi-Fi throughout. Its 79 guest rooms are spacious and well-equipped with flat-screen TVs, Keurig coffeemakers, microwaves, and mini-fridges, and many have balconies with river views. Rates frequently spike quite high on peak weekends, and it's pricey given what's offered. For a stay that's directly on the beach and also has free breakfast, check out Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn.

Paradise Suites
741 S Downing St

Travelers looking for a midrange getaway sans kids will appreciate the no-children policy at the four-room Paradise Suites & Rentals. Tucked away from the bustle of Seaside in a residential part of town, but only three blocks from the beach and about a half-mile from the main drag on Broadway, the property has a convenient location and zero features. Though the suites have a homey vibe, up to three bedrooms, and full kitchens, the hotel has a few elements that make it look like a throwback to another era, like wood paneling on the walls, tropical fish pattern bedspreads, and a vast collection of tapes to be played on the in-room VCRs.

Rivertide Suites Hotel
102 N Holladay Dr

With a location on the Necanicum River, a two-minute walk from downtown Seaside and one block from the convention center, Rivertide Suites is a good choice for both business and leisure travelers. The 70-room, all-suite property has the comforts of home -- like a seating area, kitchen, electric fireplace, and balcony in each room -- but the look is that of a corporate apartment. Features include a small fitness center and an indoor pool and hot tub. Continental breakfast and an evening manager's reception are both free. Travelers looking for more of a traditional hotel stay on the river will want to check out the River Inn at Seaside.

Inn at Seaside
441 2nd Ave

With a picturesque and convenient location, the Inn at Seaside attracts a mix of both families and convention goers. It's centrally located -- just off Highway 101, next to a convention center, and two blocks from the main drag of beach, with fun activities like bumper boats, factory outlets, and an aquarium in the immediate area. Rooms range in size and sleep up to eight at the largest; some have kitchens or kitchenettes. With free breakfast, cookies, Wi-Fi, and an indoor swimming pool, the three-pearl hotel is a good value for families on a budget -- but it does look a bit dated.

Best Western Plus Ocean View Resort
414 North Prom

The mid-range Best Western Plus Ocean View Resort is one of the few beachfront hotels in lovely Seaside. It’s in a quiet, mostly residential area, a short walk from the town’s concentration of shops and restaurants. The older property has been nicely updated with a cheerful and contemporary lobby and a cozy restaurant/bakery that serves hot meals throughout the day (but breakfast isn't included). Other highlights include a fitness center, indoor pool/whirlpool, laundry room, and free parking and Wi-Fi. Some rooms have spectacular ocean views from their private balconies and include kitchenettes and whirlpool tubs, while others are quite small and have no views. They’re all clean and equipped with mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffeemakers (but no air-conditioning). Compare rates with the Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn, another beachfront hotel that includes a hot breakfast.

Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn
300 N Prom

The two-pearl Ebb Tide Oceanfront Inn is popular with families for being one of the few Seaside properties right on the beach, and with direct access to the promenade. Ocean views from several of the 83 spacious rooms—which also include gas fireplaces and microwaves, but no air-conditioning—are lovely, but the hotel itself is old and thin walls can be a problem. Common areas and rooms could use some renovating, as decor is dated and furnishings show signs of wear and tear. Amenities are limited, but include a gym, an indoor pool with a hot tub, and freebies of breakfast, parking, and property-wide Wi-Fi. Pets are welcome for an additional fee. Lanai at the Cove offerse a quieter experience at similar rates, but it’s not as close to the center of town.

Inn at the Prom
341 South Promenade

The family-owned Inn at the Prom is a value property offering 15 suites with kitchenettes or kitchens, fireplaces, and jetted bathtubs or hot tubs; some also have beachfront balconies. There's no on-site restaurant, but there are plenty of places to dine and shop within a couple of blocks of the hotel. Amenities include loaner beach toys and chairs, a barbecue grill, and free parking, and there's a laundry room at the Blue Gull Inn, a nearby sister hotel. Those looking for even cheaper accommodations on the beach may want to consider the Best Western Ocean View Resort, though note its most basic rooms are small.

Sandy Cove Inn
241 Avenue U

The Sandy Cove Inn is a charming and well-kept value motel with owners who live on-site. The 17 uniquely themed rooms range from a surfer’s paradise to a movie-inspired room complete with theater seating. For families or groups, there are two suites with kitchenettes, or two- to four-bedroom rental homes located nearby. This no-frills property doesn’t serve breakfast or have any amenities, but freebies include a movie library, parking, and coffee. The beach is a few blocks from the hotel, so guests seeking rooms directly on the promenade may want to consider the Inn at the Prom, though rates are higher.

River Inn at Seaside
531 Avenue a

A newer hotel in Seaside, the 48-room River Inn at Seaside on the Necanicum River is a family-friendly, pet-friendly, mid-range property located two blocks from the beach and one block from Broadway, Seaside's main drag. Freebies include a continental breakfast, bike rentals, a kids' playground, DVD rentals, Wi-Fi, and a heated indoor pool. Rooms are nothing special, and it's difficult to tell if they're meant to look retro or just need an update, with mustard-colored curtains and brown accents. This property has a tendency to be on the noisier side; for travelers looking for quiet, Lanai on the Cove might be a better choice.
