Bottom Line

Located a 15-minute walk from the Historic District, the three-and-a-half-pearl Embassy Suites by Hilton Savannah has an elegant, stylish atmosphere with many
charming Southern accents. All 150 guest rooms are two- or
three-room suites, featuring bedrooms with large ensuite bathrooms,
and adjacent living areas with well-equipped kitchenettes. The free
cooked-to-order breakfasts and evening appetizers draw many guests, and the restaurant and deli, fitness
center, outdoor pool, and 24-hour business center offer good value. Be aware, though, that in-room
Wi-Fi is free only for Hilton HHonors members, but Wi-Fi is free in the public areas. Though classically elegant, this hotel opened its doors at the end of 2013. Travelers looking for a more historic atmosphere could try The Marshall House.

Scene

Bright, elegant lobby with many Southern-style accents

Embassy
Suites by Hilton Savannah occupies a newly constructed building with an attractive
red-brick facade of five stories. Guests are greeted by a bright and
elegant lobby, with high ceilings, tall palm trees, polished marble-tile
floors, and wood paneled pillars. Seating areas are decorated
with many charming Southern-style accents, such as tall windows,
hardwood floors, antique fans, cozy sofas and armchairs, elegant
lamps, and a fireplace. This property attracts mainly leisure
travelers, especially families, who like the quiet location, apartment-style suites, and family-friendly features.

Location

Walking distance from the downtown area

Embassy Suites by Hilton Savannah is located on the edge of Savannah's downtown in an industrial-looking area of warehouses and businesses. It's a short walk to the JMR Transit
Center bus station and the Broughton
Street shopping district. The Historic District is within walking distance
of the hotel as well, along with many tourist attractions. But some guests say they hesitate to walk through the area near the bus station at
night.- Three-minute walk to JMR Transit Center bus station

  • Three-minutewalk to SCAD Museum of Art
  • Six-minutewalk to Broughton Street, the Savannah History Museum, and Civic Center
  • Eightminute walk to Jepson Center for the Arts
  • 10-minutewalk to Savannah Children’s Museum
  • 11-minutewalk to the City Market and to River Street
  • 15-minutewalk to Telfair Museum of Art and the Owens-Thomas House
  • 25-minute drive to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport
  • 30-minute drive to Tybee Island Beach

Rooms

Spacious and elegant two- and three-room suites

All
the 150 rooms at Embassy Suites by Hilton Savannah are two- or three-room suites with ensuite bathrooms and adjacent living areas with kitchenettes.
Bedrooms are decked out in a traditional style, with elegant
dark wood furniture, two-poster beds, and soft beige and
brown tones, with many desk lamps providing mood lighting. Kitchenettes have long, granite countertops, and they come with mini-fridges (but no minibar snacks or drinks), microwaves, sinks,
coffeemakers, and long dark-wood tables that double as dining spaces and desks. Living rooms have pull-out sofas and second
flat-screen TVs (bedrooms also have TVs). Beige-tile bathrooms
are spacious, with large walk-in showers,
granite sink tops, and large mirrors. Three-room suites have two
bedrooms -- one with a king-size bed and the other with two
queen-size beds -- the arrangement is ideal for families and groups traveling together. In-room
Wi-Fi free only for Hilton HHonors members.

Features

Free breakfast, free evening appetizers and drinks, restaurant and deli, outdoor pool, and fitness center

Embassy
Suites by Hilton Savannah offers a host of amenities adding to the property's value. Made-to-order breakfasts are included in the room rate, and they provide several choices. Another popular
freebie is the evening reception in the lobby bar,
with free alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages,
and appetizers. The hotel's on-site restaurant, 39 Rue de Jean, serves French fare, while 39 Rue to Go Market is a French-style deli serving soups,
sandwiches, and salads, with locally made food and drinks available.
The swimming pool is located in the hotel's outdoor courtyard, which
has an adjacent patio area. Other notable amenities include the large

large underground parking lot for an extra fee. A
small shop sells snacks, drinks, souvenirs, and there's a coin-operated
laundry. Free Wi-Fi is available in the hotel's public areas.
