Scene

Artistic details abound, including paintings, sculptures, and eclectic furniture

There’s nothing cookie-cutter about the Miramare Boutique hotel, and it would be a challenge to find a room in the hotel that could be called bland. Every area, from the lobby to the the guest rooms, is individually decorated. The front desk is in a small room with bright, red walls and stained-glass windows, and the interior courtyard has intricate white wrought-iron tables and chairs and colorful flowers lining the walls. Guest rooms are named after Italian rulers of Sardinia and have bold decor varying from green-and-white-striped walls to avant-garde collage-sculptures or risqué paintings gracing the ceilings above guest beds.

Location

Near Cagliari Marina, close to bus and ferry service

The hotel overlooks a main street near the Cagliari Marina. Both bus and ferry service are nearby, along with plenty of casual and fine-dining restaurants. The hotel is within a 10-minute walk of the historic center of Cagliari, including the Bastione di Saint Remy atop a hillside offering views of Cagliari. Cagliari International Airport is less than a 10-minute drive, or is a 20-minute bus ride.

Rooms

Eclectic and whimsical rooms with renovated bathrooms and sea-view balcony room available

The rooms are really special at the Miramare Boutique Hotel, and guests seem to love their singular vibe. Rooms vary wildly. One features green-and-white-striped walls in a sitting area while another has an octopus painted on the ceiling. Furniture is homey and eclectic, and includes thick wood beds and large bureaus. Bathrooms have been renovated and include such modern features as glass-enclosed stand-up showers or pedestal sinks. One room has a balcony overlooking the marina. All rooms have flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, free Wi-Fi, minibars, and coffee- and tea makers

Features

Pretty garden courtyard and free breakfast with cold items

Free breakfast including cereal, cold cuts, and pastries is served daily at the Miramare Hotel in a parlor with a flat-screen TV, couches, tables and chairs, and bookshelves filled with books. There is street parking available near the hotel, but it can be challenging to find a spot. Inexpensive parking is available in a nearby lot.
