The rooms with patios facing the ocean offer great views. The hotel is a good fit for families; there are several recreation areas, guest rooms with bunk beds available, and an entertainment staff that organizes activities for children. The Hotel Mariposas, a small, beautiful bed and breakfast, doesn't offer as many amenities, but may be a better fit for couples.

The pointy thatched umbrellas and teal lounge chairs are kept in immaculate condition. Hearts are carved into the charming wood bar just off the beach, with a small patio and white umbrellas offering shade during the daytime. In the evenings the American bar with blue and white couches has live piano music. An elegant restaurant with big windows, wicker chairs, and place settings serves Sardinian and international cuisine. White guest-room buildings with terra-cotta tiled roofs form semi-circles facing the sea.

Hotel Cormoran is on a beautiful beach outside of Vallasimius with mountain views. The road leading to the hotel is on a paved road flanked by trees. There are two nightclubs nearby. The hotel is a 10-minute drive to the city center where there are pizzerias, ice-cream shops, and grocery stores. Cagliari International Airport is just over an hour’s drive.

There are a variety of room types at the Hotel Cormoran. Classic Rooms have simple decor with white walls, wood desks and light blue curtains. Superior Rooms are more colorful, with pale-green furnishings and matching curtains and pillows with orange and white animal designs. Some rooms have furnished, covered patios with ocean views. Villas with kitchenettes and foldaway bunk beds are available. All rooms have stand-up showers, flat-screen TVs, and minibars. There is no Wi-Fi in rooms.

Ping-pong tables, organized children’s activities, and nightly entertainment
The hotel has plenty of recreation areas, including a tennis and bocce court, ping-pong table, and a volleyball net on the beach. An entertainment staff organizes games and activities for two age groups, 4–12 and 12 and up, and a children’s area is on the sand next to the stage, where nightly entertainment is provided. The hotel has boutique shops, photography services, and a diving center that rents equipment, organizes excursions and provides lessons for a fee. During the summer a shuttle service is available to the city center for a fee.
