Hotel Baia del Porto

Families and couples alike are attracted to the casual elegance of Hotel Club Baia del Porto. There are plenty of lounge areas both inside and outside the hotel, with comfortable wicker chairs and couches in neutral tones. Sea-themed touches in the rooms and common areas give the hotel a distinct personality; there are seashells on top of coffee tables, seashell artwork, and lamps with coral motifs. While interiors are lovely, the outdoor pool surrounded by manicured grounds with lots of flowers is the real eye-catcher. Despite the kids' club and many families that visit, the hotel maintains a largely relaxing and quiet atmosphere.

For those who love beautiful beaches, this hotel is close to several. It’s about a five-minute walk to a pretty beach that the hotel has equipped with free loungers and umbrellas, and a 10-minute walk to the marina of Porto Ottiolu, a tourist center with a white-sand beach and outdoor activities. The Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport is a half-hour drive away. The picturesque seaside village of Budoni a 10-minute drive away, and the historic town of Posada -- with castles and restaurants -- is a 15-minute drive away. 

The hotel has 77 rooms, and 12 cottages, the latter in stand-alone structures with a large furnished patio looking out over the gardens. Across the board, rooms have a simple Sardinian style consisting of off-white walls, terra-cotta tile, light-wood furniture, wrought-iron accents, and cream linens with pale-green or peach embroidered patterns. The sea-theme continues with prints on the walls or vases filled with seashells. They have a light and airy vibe, enhanced by the glass doors that lead to the furnished balconies or patios. Rooms have either garden or pool views, and some with distant sea views.  

Standard amenities include small flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, safes, and air-conditioning. Rooms have armchairs, while cottages have sofa beds. Bathrooms come equipped with showers, bidets, and wall-mounted hairdryers, plus toiletries. A charming touch is that each room is dedicated to a plant that grows in Sardinia. 

The beach and pool are two stunning features at Hotel Club Baia del Porto. A gorgeous sandy beach with free lounge chairs and umbrellas is a five-minute walk from the hotel through a scenic footpath lined with greenery. The large freeform outdoor pool also has chairs for sunbathing, along with plenty of modern chairs and couches set up in a poolside lounge area. Meals are also a highlight; the on-site buffet restaurant serves fresh, local dishes and all rates include breakfast. There are no gym or spa facilities, but there are a kids' club and babysitting services for a fee. For adult entertainment, the hotel piano bar is a hit. Free Wi-Fi is available but only in common areas. Parking is free.
