Scene

Pretty outdoor area, with families on the beach

While couples do enjoy the bar, beach, and swimming pool at Bravo Club Porto Pino, the property is mostly dedicated to families with children. The bright white lobby has tiled floors and Mediterranean-style lamp fixtures on the ceiling. White wicker chairs and sofas are topped with light pink pillows and cushions. Pink flamingo sculptures hang on the wall, as does a canvas photograph of the tropical birds. Outside, the grounds are manicured and pretty with flowering shrubs, grass lawns, and rock-lined paths. The bar has outdoor seating under chic white umbrellas on a patio. There's a second outdoor living room-style space set with brown wicker furniture, closed off with gauzy white curtains.

Location

On Sardinian coast off the Mediterranean

Bravo Club Porto Pino is located directly on a sandy piece of real estate on the Sardinian Coast, off the Mediterranean Sea. The nearest neighbors include other family-style hotels and, unusually, a large military area. There's a nearby market with a few restaurants and a nightclub. Cagliari International Airport is more than an hour north by car.

Rooms

Cute but basic with small showers

Separate family-style cottage-like rooms sleep two or three people, with some connected rooms available for larger groups. Rooms are well-lit and airy with tile floors and cute blue or white painted furniture, including an armoire, nightstands, and desk. Flat-screen TVs and empty mini-fridges are welcome additions, as are private patios. Canvas photographs of beach scenes or fish add a little color and sense of place. The bathrooms have single sinks, toilets, bidets, and tiny shower stalls; some guests have complained that water pools everywhere when the shower is on. A basket of toiletries and wall-mounted hairdryers are nice touches.

Features

Beach access, outdoor swimming pools, and a restaurant; basketball and tennis courts as well

The sandy beach and clear water at Bravo Club Porto Pino is the main draw for families and tourists. Blue sun loungers and umbrellas are tightly packed together on a public beach where water toys can be rented. A kids' swimming pool and second pool for families are framed by plastic loungers. There's also a Mediterranean-style restaurant and breakfast buffet, plus a full bar. Expect a charge for irregular Wi-Fi access. Daily entertainment for kids is provided indoors and out, while family entertainment is held most evenings in a small amphitheater. Basketball and tennis courts and a soccer field are available outside, though these facilities could use a refresh.
