Bottom Line

This family-oriented campground offers a great number of options both in its housing and in its amenities. Some possibilities include small, simple brick apartments with kitchenettes, log cabins, and large pitches for tents and campers. Laid out like a village, with administrative buildings and rooms joined by tiled paths, the campground area is set in a forest. The property has a large swimming pool and restaurant, and offers entertainment for children and adults. Hot water is obtained through solar panels, and waste is collected in a way that protects the environment. 4 Mori doesn't overlook conveniences, and has a supermarket and laundry. Guests have noted that some of the mobile homes could use some sprucing up, and that the entertainment is a bit lackluster and disorganized. The property receives generally positive reviews, but some have noted that the trash is not always removed at the same rate it accumulates.

Scene

Well-equipped campsite near the beach that's popular with families

The property is laid out like a village, with an administrative area and a large forested section that contains campsites and mobile homes. The administrative buildings, which include the check-in desk as well as the two-level peach stucco structures that hold the apartments, are laid out around a well-kept central tiled plaza. The restaurant and bar strike a nice balance between indoor and outdoor, with a sizable patio. Families with children are drawn to the play areas and wide swath of sandy beach close to the property.

Location

On the southern end of Sardinia, near the beach and an hour’s drive to the airport

The campsite is surrounded by greenery and is situated near the Tyrrhenian Sea, which is down a short dirt path leading from the grounds. Visitors have commented that the beaches of Costa Rei, about a half hour's drive south down the coast, are more attractive. San Priam, the nearest village, is the closest town for commerce; it is 3 miles away and reachable by public bus, which takes about 30 minutes. With advance notice, the 4 Mori Residence offers a transfer from Cagliari Elmas Airport, about an hour's drive, for a fee.

Rooms

Spartan but clean and well-kept, according to many guests

Visitors have a good handful of choices here, including two-room apartments within the main plaza that include air-conditioning, tube TVs with satellite channels, and terraces. The bright, basic units have laminate kitchenettes and tile floors. The mobile homes, slightly less attractive on the outside, come with wooden porches built onto the exterior. Their interiors are constructed from a kit, and are a not-unpleasant combination of steel and light-wood laminate. Some guests have remarked that the mobile units could be cleaner.

Features

Outdoor pool, beach bar, playground, supermarket, salon, laundry

The large outdoor pool has a shallow end for children, is surrounded by grass and trees and flanked by a small, covered pool bar with plenty of places to sit in the shade. There is an outdoor playground housed under a tiled awning that provides shade, a beach bar, an on-site laundry, sports fields, a salon, and a well-stocked supermarket.
