This part of Santorini is renowned for its specular vistas, and the 14-room Andronis Boutique Hotel takes full advantage of its privileged position -- there are few places in the hotel without gorgeous sea views. Cave-like rooms are luxurious and really quite special, as are bathrooms and private balconies. The pool isn't huge, but is lined with sunbeds overlooking the all-important panorama. All in all, it's luxury accommodation at a luxury price, so for a cheaper option, without quite the views, check out Oia's Sunset (it has a bigger pool).
Scene
All-white boutique overlooking the Aegean Sea
Perched on a slope overlooking the crystal blue Aegean Sea, visitors wind their way up a stone staircase set into the hillside, past white-washed undulating walls that contrast beautifully with the piercing blue sky, and arrive at the small and perfectly formed lobby area. The crisp white reception is molded into the building, and a cool refuge from the often relentless Greek sun. Andronis Boutique Hotel was inspired by Aegean architecture typical of the island, which extends throughout the property, and the surrounding area. Guests tend towards couples seeking a romantic treat in one of the most luxurious and best positioned hotels in this stunning holiday resort.
Location
Hillside setting overlooking the Aegean Sea in northwest tip of Santorini
The Andronis Boutique Hotel is set on the steeply sloping hillside town of Oia with views over the Aegean Sea on the northwest tip of Santorini Island. The sea is just two minutes walk from the hotel, with wonderful views of the caldera (a largely-submerged volcano). Santorini Airport is 12 miles away as is the port of Athiniou; the hotel provides transfers from both for a charge.
