This trendy hotel has a sleek exterior of gray walls and white accents. Interiors feature rustic, wood-heavy decor that's simple and minimalist, including parquet floors and wooden columns, window panes, and stairs (the hotel lacks an elevator). The design has a clean, eco vibe, echoed by the property's charming outdoor spaces. Greenery in the courtyard patio is contrasted by black-and-white checkered tile floors, while woven pod-like chairs and mini tables provide a pleasant place to sit under the shade of an orange tree and amid potted plants and dense ivy climbing a brick wall. The rooftop also offers seating on a terrace with great city views of the nearby San Cristobal Hill. The breakfast room could use a bit of sprucing up, as it lacks any design elements beyond antique wooden tables and chairs, though it's a pleasant enough space. Overall, this hotel has a calm atmosphere due in part to its lovely and relaxing outdoor spaces, and it attracts mainly tourists, including couples and families.

Hotel Loreto is located in a neighborhood with a lot of character that may seem a bit sketchy to some, depending on your perspective. Sure, there’s graffiti on some of the buildings nearby, but many of the walls are decorated in beautiful murals. There are a lot of restaurants and shops on surrounding streets, and the trendy Bellas Artes neighborhood is adjacent, where guests can visit the Chilean National Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Contemporary Arts, both located in Parque Forestal and an eight-minute walk from the hotel. The Metropolitan Park of Santiago is about 15 minutes away on foot, where guests can hike San Cristobal Hill. Plaza de Armas, Santiago's main square, is about a 20-minute walk away. As for public transportation, there’s a bus stop in front of the property and a metro stop that takes eight minutes to reach on foot. Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport is about a 20-minute drive away. 

Guest rooms at this property are decorated in a simple, classic style. Much like the rest of the hotel's interior spaces, rooms feature lots of wooden elements, with parquet flooring and wooden furniture contrasted by plush beds topped with fresh white linens. A few black-and-white photographs hang on the white walls. Take note that some rooms can be a bit small and lack sufficient storage space. Though they don’t have air-conditioning, each has a charming balcony (some are shared) or access to the courtyard patio. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, minibars, free Wi-Fi, and safes, however, no coffee- and tea-making facilities. A complimentary bottle of wine is a nice perk. Bathrooms feature small showers or shower/tub combos and little counter space. Toiletries and hairdryers are provided.  

Though the hotel offers limited features, with no restaurant or bar on-site, it does serve a free breakfast in the mornings that includes hot and cold items. The property's outdoor spaces are lovely, including a garden patio area full of greenery and a rooftop terrace offering great views over the city. The hotel has a lounge with tables and chairs, couches, a flat-screen TV, and a coffee/tea station. There’s free Wi-Fi throughout. The hotel can arrange a shuttle service to and from the airport for a fee, plus a limited number of free parking spots are available.
