The rooms at the Andaz are sleek; don't expect a lot of decoration, but they have a sexy vibe with plush, white bedding, wood-paneled closets and minibars, and pops of color in the graphic art on the walls. Modern amenities such as large flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and Keurig coffeemakers come standard. The rooms are quite spacious, but the slate-tiled bathrooms are not.

Rooftop pool and lounge are highlights
Features here are extensive, but the rooftop pool with a fire pit and lounge stand out. Other nice spots for congregating include the wine bar (with wine on tap) as well as the hip, modern lobby with free snacks. The hotel features 18,000 square feet of meeting and special event space. The fitness center is modern, but it feels dark and cramped. STK San Diego, a steakhouse by the ONE Group, is scheduled to open summer 2017.
