Located on 39 acres, this resort almost never feels crowded, and the well-maintained grounds -- complete with nature trails, gardens, and seating areas centered around fire pits -- make for quiet spots where families or even couples can feel back-to-nature. The hotel's overall design is reminiscent of an upscale country lodge; picture sweeping ceilings, antler-adorned lamps, and faux cowhide chairs in the lobby. Rooms are similarly earth-toned.

The Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch is situated amid 39 acres of gorgeous, quiet Texas Hill Country land. This gives it a tranquil vibe, but local attractions are nonetheless within easy reach. The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort, the hotel's sister property where the shared spa is located, is just a three-minute drive away (but is nearly 30 minutes walking), and SeaWorld San Antonio is less than 10 minutes by car. The Fiesta Texas theme park is about a 20-minute drive and San Antonio, and its famous River Walk, are also within 20 minutes. The San Antonio International Airport is about a 25-minute drive from the Oak Ranch property.

All are spacious, with elegant (not cheesy) Western-style decor; picture warm, earth tones throughout with dark wood accents, fresh plants, paintings of local scenery, comfy leather chairs, and beds with dark brown runners and tribal-inspired throw pillows.
