A handful of black couches offer a space to sit and watch TV, and there's a small seating area by windows overlooking the street. The hotel is also home to a historic cinema that resides in the same building and guests can purchase tickets at the reception desk. Film memorabilia, like black-and-white photographs of movie stars, adorn some of the hallways. The hotel's central location makes it particularly popular with leisure tourists seeking to sightsee.

The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Salzburg's Old Town, and most tourist sights can easily be reached on foot. It can be a challenge to travel to the hotel by car since traffic is not allowed in the city’s Old Town and is regulated via a bollard system, though the hotel can provide a password that operates it. Many restaurants and cafes are within walking distance of the property, and most top sights can be reached on foot, including the Salzburg Cathedral (five-minute walk away), the Mozart Museum (nine-minute walk), and the Opera House (eight-minute walk). The main train station can be reached in 15 minutes via a public bus that stops about a seven-minute walk from the hotel. Salzburg Airport is a 20-minute drive away.

Rooms at the hotel are individually designed and no two are alike. Some feature traditional hand-painted wooden furniture, while others are more modern, with brightly painted walls or chic patterned wallpaper.
