The three-and-a-half-pearl Rome Glam Hotel is a stylish and modern hotel located on the north side of the city center, so it's well-placed to reach many attractions (like the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps) within a 15-minute walk. The hotel has a fresh design thanks to a renovation completed in 2016. The 59 rooms are spacious (for Rome) and come with flat-screen TVs, kettles, air-conditioning, and free arrival minibars. Open-floor bathroom plans aren't popular with everyone. Most guests enjoy the free hot breakfast buffet, lounge bar, and chic rooftop terrace. The nearby Rome Times Hotel is a good alternative with meeting rooms, a small gym, and free appetizers during happy hour.
Scene
Trendy boutique hotel with a lovely rooftop terrace and a clientele of couples
Rome Glam Hotel is a quaint boutique hotel housed in a white and cream stone building. The lobby is small -- basically a hallway, filled with chic paintings, that leads to a tiny front desk placed to the left of the elevator bank. There is a seating area with black couches just off the hallway, but it’s hidden under a set of stairs. The breakfast room is a bit cozier with green walls, dark gray seating, and dark flooring that shows the true modernized design of the hotel's renovation completed in 2016. There's also a rooftop terrace that provides a lovely place for guests to interact and enjoy great views on nice days with a drink from the lounge bar. Couples are the main clientele at this stylish property, and they're drawn by the basic amenities, decent location, and trendy vibe.
Location
Less than a 20-minute walk to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Colosseum
Rome is a walkable city. Though Rome Glam Hotel isn’t right in the mix of the most popular attractions, travelers can still walk to many of these sites. The Trevi Fountain is an 11-minute walk away, while the Pantheon takes 18 minutes to reach on foot. It’s a 15-minute walk to the Colosseum and the Spanish Steps. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, shops, and cafes and there's a bus stop right outside the hotel's main doors. It’s a six-minute walk to the nearest metro stop. The Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport is an hours’ drive away.
Rooms
Modern rooms with flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, kettles, and free arrival minibars
Contemporary fixtures, neutral colors, and tiled floors characterize the modern rooms here. Velour headboards, purple armchairs, and trendy art pieces on the walls make for stylish and elegant spaces. The rooms are also quite spacious compared to most boutique hotels in Rome. Rooms are outfitted with flat-screen TVs, soundbars, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, safes, kettles, and free arrival minibars that include bottled water, juice, soft drinks, potato chips, and biscotti. Note that these items aren't restocked. Some of the bathrooms have an open-floor plan that isn't ideal for guests who like a lot of sink and shower privacy. The bathrooms include glass showers, Etro toiletries, hairdryers, and bidets. Guests have also noted an inconvenient blue light sensor in the bathrooms at night, and some bothersome noise in lower-level rooms.
Features
Free breakfast buffet, bar, rooftop terace, and free Wi-Fi
As is typical of many boutique Roman hotels, Rome Glam Hotel offers little in the way of facilities. However, they do provide a free American breakfast buffet of meats, cheeses, pastries, eggs, sausages, bacon, yogurt, and fruit. There’s also an a la carte breakfast menu for a fee. Guests can enjoy a drink or snack from the hotel’s bar on the rooftop terrace which has couches, armchairs, umbrellas, and great views of Rome. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
