Hotel Pantheon Rome

Hotel Pantheon is housed in an orange 18th-century building near the famous Pantheon in central Rome. Details such-as wood-paneled walls, exposed wooden ceiling beams, terra-cotta floors, a wrought-iron staircase, and golden chandeliers give the hotel an Old-World charm. Mirror and mural wall panels throughout the hotel are particularly eye-catching. White-marble floors and walls make for a particularly lavish and romantic vibe in the hallways and stairways. The breakfast room is even more charming, with marble white floors, a city mural painted on the walls and ceiling, and tables with pink tablecloths and chairs with white coverings. An oak bar and red leather chairs and couches in the bar create a cozy atmosphere. Guests are predominantly vacationing couples, though this property also gets some families. 

This hotel is particularly convenient for tourists, as many major attractions are within walking distance and restaurants and shopping abound on the surrounding streets. The Pantheon is a three-minute walk away, while Piazza Navona takes seven minutes to reach on foot. It’s a six-minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and 25 minutes to Vatican City and the Colosseum. There’s no metro stop nearby, though there is a bus stop three minutes away from the property. It’s a 37-minute drive to Rome's Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. 

All of the rooms at Hotel Pantheon have elegant, classic decor, including exposed wooden beams, glossy tiled or wooden floors, and oak furniture and headboards. The beds are topped with elegant brocade bedding that complement paintings or black-and-white photographs of Rome. But a few travelers may find the rich textiles and heavy furnishings too stuffy and old fashioned. Some rooms have balconies with rooftop views, which give a much better vista compared to those with just bland courtyard views. Amenities include desks, flat-screen TVs, kettles, and minibars. Tan marble bathrooms have rainfall walk-in or shower/tub combos, and some showers have jets. Toiletries and hairdryers are provided. Though there is air-conditioning, past guests have reported related maintenance issues, and some rooms get street noise. 

There aren't many features at the compact Hotel Pantheon, though a free breakfast buffet with hot and cold items is served every morning. There’s no restaurant, but there is a cozy on-site bar with a public computer for guest use. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. Standard services include laundry, airport transfers, and tour booking, but there's no parking on-site.
