Scene
A bright, upscale hotel
With its several-storied, windowed entrance, the vast lobby of the Axor is full of light. The low-rise structure has a gorgeous modern interior with an openness enhanced by the minimalist decor and sparse use of color. There are inviting spaces like a big, open lounge with several white couches and a TV, a space to play Nintendo Wii with two large TV screens and a red couch, and an Internet access spot with several desks. The restaurant, the Mirage, serves a Spanish vanguard menu, and there’s a small bar inside the hotel.
Location
By car, a short drive to the airport and near downtown Madrid
The Axor is a five-minute drive to the airport with free shuttle service. The venue is also a 10-minute drive to the IFEMA exhibition center. Sitting on a street lined with large commercial structures, the Axor has a shopping center two streets away with dining options, a supermarket, and other stores. For sightseeing, downtown Madrid is less than 20 minutes away by car, but getting there via public transportation will take more than an hour.
Rooms
Big, modern rooms with wooden floors and trendy bunk beds in the family rooms

Minibars, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi are available as well, and the family rooms have cool bunk beds tucked into a wall with ladder access for the top bunk. The business and standard rooms do not have bathtubs, only a shower.
