The 290-room Pegasos Beach Hotel -- with Pegasus designs interspersed throughout -- is an upper-middle-range Greek oasis for families and couples with a private Faliraki beach in short walking distance, three pools, and casual dining and cocktails at three bars. Rooms are large, with contemporary decor in chic neutrals with bright touches, and sea views from some balconies. Grounds are laced with landscaped lawns and palm trees, and stylish outdoor patios enable al fresco dining while overlooking the sea. Activities are readily available, from tennis to ping-pong. However, there is a fee for in-room Wi-Fi. For a hotel that offers free Wi-Fi in select rooms, try the Hotel Rodos Palladium Rhodes.
Scene
Relaxing Pegasus-inspired beach hotel with lively pool area
The hotel takes design inspiration from its namesake with a Pegasus statue perched on a rock formation in the circular entrance. The outdoor parking lot is lined with trees and partially covered by a roof, and a revolving door leads into the spacious lobby, decorated with marble flooring, Greek statues and comfortable, casual couches. Hallways are modern and minimally designed with colored carpeting and classic furniture in some elevator banks. Some hallways have Greek mythology paintings that line the walls. Other areas are rather stark with no wall decor. The pool area appeals to couples and families. A winding blue slide is the central feature in the water park pool, which is surrounded by a lawn with lounge chairs and wicker umbrellas. Nearby is a grassy playground with a covered picnic area and cute lampposts. A kiddy pool is available for toddlers with a wicker umbrella built in the center that provides shade. The main pool has a water polo goal, small basketball net, and a large deck with blue striped lounge chairs, hammock chairs, and wicker umbrellas.
Location
Located off the shores of Faliraki
The hotel is centrally located to the beach -- five minutes on foot -- and attractions. It is 24 minutes by car to Rhodes International Airport. Rhodes town, with popular sites like the Grand Master of Knights Palace and the Ancient Olympic Stadium, is about a 20-minute drive away. The water park is three minutes by car, or 18 minutes on foot, from the hotel. Five minutes away on foot is the Captains Tours Travel Agency. Driving to the Afandou Golf Club takes 10 minutes. The J & D Rental car service is four minutes on foot.

Features
Cocktails by the beach and pool, plus on-site casual dining
Guests don’t have to go far for a snack, buffet meal, or cocktail. There’s a chic indoor main bar with gold and white bar stools, cream swivel chairs, a chic pool table, and terrace with pool views. The pool bar has pastel curved ceilings and an informal atmosphere. The main restaurant serves a Mediterranean buffet in a large plain room, and on a casual patio decorated with outdated patterns and colors. Designs are stylish at the pool restaurant with an ice cream section, chic white patio chairs, blue table cloths, and a flower-accented terrace roof. The beach bar has whimsical Pegasus pebble wall designs, a stage, and beach views. The hotel offers 24-hour front desk service, newspapers in the lobby, currency exchange, and rental car assistance. The indoor game room has billiards and ping pong, and kids can play outside on the colorful playground. The entertainment staff hosts various evening activities, such as karaoke.
