The hotel is geared toward families, with a pool area that appeals to kids and adults. Near the kids’ club is the toddler pool, surrounded by a few lounge chairs, umbrellas, bougainvillea, and green hedges. The kids' pool -- larger with a fun waterfall in the center -- is next to the lagoon pool, where there’s a lively, family-friendly scene, an island, cushioned lounge chairs, umbrellas, and a bridge leading to the Matina’s pool bar. The deck includes an oversize chessboard and blue-tiled showers.

A Pefkos beach hotel on the fringes of Lindos
Located between the towns of Lardos and Lindos, the Matina Aparthotel is in Pefkosis, which is a two-minute walk to the beach and close to a few restaurants and shops. A drive to Lindos takes nine minutes, and Lardos is within an 11-minute drive. A supermarket is right outside. Guests recommend taking a glass-bottom boat ride to the medieval town of Rhodes -- a 30-minute drive -- with such sights as the Archaeological Museum and Grand Master of Knights Palace. The airport is more than an hour's drive.
