Hotel Cyvadier is a three-pearl oceanfront property located on a breathtaking, jungle-covered cove just outside of Jacmel. Its 30 rooms are simple, but pleasant, though features vary between Premium and Economy Rooms. Expect king or queen beds, optional air-conditioning, and colorful Haitian paintings or wrought-iron sculptures on the wall. None of the rooms had TVs during our summer 2016 visit, but were scheduled to be added in the fall. The cliffside setting means that the bar and tasty restaurant have amazing ocean and cove views. There’s also a freshwater pool shaped like an infinity-sign surrounded by funky, mod-styled seating. For a stay with oceanfront rooms and a gym that's within walking distance of downtown Jacmel, it's worth pricing out the nearby Cap Lamandou Hotel.
