Scene

Heavily wooded family-friendly property whose facilities are mainly outdoors

Ostuni Village - TH Resorts is situated on a well-cared-for wooded property. At every turn there are tree-lined pathways, manicured grassy lawns and gardens filled with vibrantly colored flowers. Most of the Club Valtur is outdoors, and there are several patios and outdoor seating areas. The front desk is housed in a big open room with high ceilings and large windows, which let in tons of natural light. The front desk wraps around the room, and has a small sitting area. The club exudes a lively relaxed atmosphere.

Location

Located on more than 100 acres of land next to the beach, and a short drive to the town of Ostuni

Ostuni Village - TH Resorts is set on more than 100 acres of land in the district of Lamaforca. It is right on the coastline, about a one-minute walk to the beach. The hotel is rather isolated, but if guests care to venture off the property, -- it is about a 15-minute drive to the town of Ostuni, where beautiful architecture, great restaurants, and a bunch of bars can be found. Ostuni also has a 15th-century cathedral, Museo di Civita Preclassiche della Murgia, and the Parco Archeologico e Naturale di Arignano. The nearest airport is Salento Airport, which is within a 25-minute drive of Ostuni Village - TH Resorts.

Rooms

Small, simple rooms with balconies; bathrooms could use an update

The basic guest rooms are small but clean and comfortable, and consist of two single beds pushed together and a separate, single bed. The decor is minimal, with green-tiled floors, white walls, and basic furniture -- but the wicker headboards and armoires add a beachy touch. Rooms also include flat-screen TVs, safes, mini-fridges, air-conditioning, and small balconies. The sinks are located within the bedroom, outside the bathroom. The bathrooms include bidets and small showers. They could use a refresh, as the appliances look old, and the grout between the tiled floors and walls looks dark and dirty in spots.

Features

Beach, pools, spa, multiple sporting facilities, bike rentals, and four restaurants

Many of the amenities are located outdoors. The beautiful, private beach, surrounded by trees and bushes, is about a minute's walk away, and feels nicely secluded. There are umbrellas and lounge chairs, and boats to take out on the water. The main swimming pool is surrounded by lounge chairs and has a pool bar, and there is also a smaller children's pool. There are also two kids' clubs, a playground, and a separate kids' restaurant. For those not sitting at the kids' table, there are three other restaurants. Il Patio is buffet-style and serves three meals a day. La Pergola is near the beach and also serves buffet-style meals but reservations are required. La Masseria  is open only for dinner, and guests need reservations there too. There are also many sports facilities, such as volleyball courts, bocce courts, an archery range, ping-pong tables, soccer fields, tennis courts, and basketball courts, among others. There is also a small outdoor event space that sometimes functions as a nightclub, and a large outdoor amphitheater. Most of the facilities are located throughout the property in their own buildings, such as the spa, the fitness center, and the various gift shops. Bikes can be rented for getting around the property. The hotel is pet-friendly, and has a boarding area for dogs and a small dog park
