Not within close walking distance of the center of Porto Cesaro
Le Dune Suite Hotel is a 48-room private beach resort that expresses luxury with every detail, from the understated color palate to chic outdoor lounge areas. The hotel is a great choice for adults in need of pampering, with its elegant spa and al fresco seating overlooking the sea. But it's also family-friendly, with plenty of activities for kids, including pizza-making lessons. Le Dune is glamorous but breezy, with relaxation the priority. Travelers wanting to be a bit closer to Porto Cesaro, a nice spot for strolling by the water, could try the similarly priced Quihotel, which lacks a private beach.
Scene
Chic rooftop bar with gorgeous U-shaped pool, elegant lobby
Le Dune Suite Hotel is attractive and stylish throughout, starting with the villa-like entranceway, with natural landscaping against creamy stone. In the inviting lobby, where large plants and modern art play off a mostly gray color scheme, comfortable armchairs and sofas are arranged in private clusters -- along with a flat-screen TV for watching futbol. The poolside rooftop bar Apero feels very private and exclusive, complete with plush, high-backed sofas. The private beach is lined with sun beds and beach umbrellas, and the beach restaurant, which has a modern cottage vibe, overlooks the pretty beach scene. Le Dune's clientele is mostly foreign, but in summer months Italians on holiday take over.
Location
On the beach, within an hour's drive of Lecce
Le Dune Suite Hotel is located at the edge of the village of Porto Cesareo, but it's all about the beach. The hotel has a private sand beach, but guests can walk along the shore to neighboring beaches, stopping for a cocktail at a one of the local beach bars on the way. There are supermarkets, bars, and restaurants in the vicinity, but Le Dune has so much to do, and is so relaxing, that guests may not feel the need to leave the premises. Historic Lecce is a 45-minute drive from the hotel, and Otranto is little over one hour away.
Rooms
King size beds, terraces, thoughtful extras

All rooms are on the ground or second floor, and have terraces or balconies, some with views of the pool or the Ionian Sea.
