The mid-range Costa Brada Resort is set directly on the beach, a 10-minute drive south of Gallipoli. This dreamy location is slightly removed from the party establishments along the coast, and has beautiful gardens on-site. Some rooms have been nicely updated while others remain unrenovated; complaints about the latter include cigarette smoke and uncomfortable beds. There is a big outdoor pool, outdoor playground, and fitness center on-site.

A grand old hotel in need of some updates
The four-story white structure built in the 50s has a retro influences, both inside and out. Marble surfaces and mirrored walls accent the interior architecture, which also features the rounded corners characteristic of the outside. There is a definite grandeur to these aesthetics, though guests have noted that the hotel feels dated and that the interior could use some maintenance. Families and retirees are drawn to the relative quiet of the location, and many come back year after year.

A 10-minute drive from Gallipoli, directly on the beach
The hotel is situated directly on the white sand beach three kilometers south of Gallipoli; a public bus links the hotel to the city (30 minutes). Brindisi, the nearest airport, is 80 kilometers away. The property is situated on an access road running through a nature preserve that parallels the coastline; because of this, the hotel is surrounded by lush greenery and the location is peaceful.
Rooms
Dated rooms in need of an update and some renovated rooms
Complaints about the rooms have included that the walls are thin and allow noise as well as cigarette smoke through from the neighbor, and that the beds could use updating. Sliding doors link the rooms. The hotel has been under process of renovation and many of these features may have been improved in certain rooms. Updated rooms, are pleasant with an airy white and yellow color scheme, arched doorways, and handsomely tiled stall showers. Larger suites have lacquered wood furniture, marble surfaces, and come with robes and slippers. Some rooms have a tiny balcony; all rooms have a TV, which is tiny in the more modest rooms.

Visitors have noted that the food in the on-site restaurant is fresh, simple, and usually good. The large outdoor pool, flanked by a modest number of deck chairs as well as a small outdoor snack bar, is set between the hotel and the beach, and enjoys views of the well-maintained private beach. The property also has a fitness center and a number of business meeting rooms.
