Scene
Unique retro boutique hotel with lots of personality and charm
An old orange Ford Truck at the entrance of The Motor Lodge sets the retro tone for this eccentrically charming hotel.
Originally built in 1910, the U-shaped property’s green and orange paint shows
its character and history, but the hotel also a modern design palette. The lobby, while small, has
funky and colorful wallpaper along with wood floors, big windows, and vintage
light fixtures. There’s a sitting area with tan chairs on a red floor and the space gets lots of sunlight through large windows. A glass of wine or a bottle of beer is presented
upon arrival and guests receive a bag of homemade cookies at checkout.
The grounds are adorned with a mix of trees, shrubbery, and metal art
pieces.
