Scene

Bright, contemporary hotel with atrium lobby

The
hotel has a contemporary look, though it's not strikingly elegant or chic. A busy freeway leading towards Vienna and an old factory sit near the hotel. The property comprises two distinct buildings linked by a cable car. The facade consists of a glass wall, and the atrium-style lobby has red ceramic tile
floors, potted plants, plush red leather sofas, and three round wooden check-in
desks.

Location

Easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and shopping

Located
in the Smichov area and on the left bank of the Vltava River, the hotel is
in a hip, primarily residential area that was once an industrial part of town but has since developed into a trendy neighborhood, with a few restaurants and bars. Staropramen
Brewery, the second largest producer of beer in the Czech Republic, is a
15-minute walk away and offers a varied selection of brews. Kinsky Gardens, where
visitors will find the National Museum’s ethnographic collection as well as St. Michael's Church, is also about a 15-minute
walk from the hotel.The
hotel is conveniently located three minutes from the Metro B Line and two minutes
from the nearest tram at Andel Station. It's a 25-minute tram ride to MeetFactory, a center for contemporary art converted from an old
meat-house. The history-rich Old Town Square, Tyn Church, and St. Nicholas Church as well as Wenceslas Square in New Town are directly accessible via metro and the 12 and 20 tram lines make the trip to Old Town for those looking for a more scenic ride. The airport is 20 minutes away by car.

Rooms

Spacious rooms with large windows and high ceilings

The NH Prague has 439 rooms split between two buildings connected by a cable car. Rooms in the upper building are the quietest and have Nespresso machines. Those in the lower building experience noise from foot traffic and the cable car. From the top floors, guests have a nice view of surrounding buildings, but tall trees may obstruct some views. Most rooms have large windows that offer plenty of natural light. Decor is simple, with green or gray patterned floors and lightwood headboards behind stark white beds. Rooms have free Wi-Fi, minibars, safes, and
flat-screen TVs. Bathrooms are outfitted with shower/tub combos, wall-mounted hairdryers, and plenty of counter space around the sinks.

Features

Gym with sauna, Tower Lounge bar, Il Giardino restaurant

The hotel has a fitness center with a sauna and 15 machines, including ellipticals, treadmills, and bikes, as well as free weights. On the
hill next to the hotel are playgrounds as well as tennis courts. Neither belong to the NH Prague, but guests can still
make reservations for a tennis match or two through the hotel (although there is a fee to use the courts). Parking is also available in a garage (for a fee) and babysitting can be arranged through the concierge.On-site dining includes Il Giardino, an Italian restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the Tower Lounge bar, on the fourth floor, which offers alfresco dining in the summer months. During the winter, when the outdoor space is closed off, the bar can feel small. 24-hour room service is also available. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
