Scene
Modern hotel with elegant restaurant and clubby business lounge
The hotel has an upscale, somewhat formal look. The expansive lobby is dominated by pairs of illuminated columns, and it has a seating area with armchairs and couches upholstered in suede and crosshatch fabric. The business lounge is similarly formal and has more of a clubby feel, with leather sofas and chairs. The restaurant has sconce lighting, wood columns, burgundy and navy chairs, and tables set with white table runners. The fitness room and spa area is small, but has a lovely wood-paneled lounge where guests can relax.
Location
By Wenceslas Square in New Town, on a street with strip clubs
The hotel is located down a side street in Prague’s New Town, an area filled with bars and cafes. Be aware that there are a few strip clubs on the street, which sometimes have hawkers. The hotel is also around the corner from the Nardoni Muzeum and down the street from Wenceslas Square. Old Town is a 15-minute walk away. The Vaclav Havel Airport is a 25-minute drive, or about 50 minutes away on public transportation.
Rooms
Spacious rooms with comfortable, low-key decor
The hotel’s 127 guest rooms have a pleasant, traditional look with coffee-colored carpeting, bentwood chairs, and light green accent pillows. There are a couple of artsy photographs in black frames, but the decor is otherwise minimal. The look is the same in both the Standard and Executive Rooms, which are larger and come with robes and slippers, as well as tablet computers that guests can use in the rooms. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, minibars, tea kettles, writing desks, and safes. Bathrooms in blocky white tile have long white marble vanities, hairdryers, toiletries, magnifying mirrors, and shower/tub combos. Rooms are quieter on the higher floors, and also at the back of the hotel.
