Bottom Line

This 32-room, budget hotel in Prague 4 isn't within walking distance to most tourist attractions, but it does offer a quiet respite from the center of town, and the nearby tram station brings passengers to Old Town in about 20 minutes. Decor throughout the property leaves something to be desired, as interiors are rather basic and functional. With no pool, gym, or laundry facilities, amenities are also minimal. However, affordable rates include spacious rooms (though they don’t have air-conditioning), a solid buffet breakfast, and free Wi-Fi. Some may find the property and its surroundings too subdued, but corporate travelers and older couples seem to enjoy it. Younger travelers may prefer Hostel Downtown, which has similar rates but a more central location and social vibe.

Scene

Small and simple property draws older guests and the local corporate market

Guests get what they pay for at this small hotel: interiors that are simple and clean, but not the most inviting. A narrow lobby features square tiles, some colorful armchairs, and a pamphlet rack, but the seating is more for functional purposes than for lounging and the white lights don’t create a cozy vibe. Hallways are also rather stark, with old carpet lining the floors. Furnishings in the dining area look dated. The property is lacking in charm or character, but it’s much quieter than city center hotels, and the fantastic value draws local corporate visitors and older couples on holiday.

Location

Quiet location in Prague 4 -- 20 minutes to Old Town by tram

The hotel sits in the quiet, residential neighborhood of Prague 4, away from the city center. It’s ideal for business travelers, as the Congress Centre is 10 minutes away on foot. Tourist attractions are further afield. The historical fort of Vysehrad is just under 20 minutes away on foot. It’s a five-minute walk to a tram stop, from which trams reach the Old Town and Wenceslas Square in 20 minutes, and Prague Castle in 30 minutes. There’s also a metro station that's a 15-minute walk away. Vaclav Havel Airport is a 40-minute drive away, or an hour away by public transport.

Rooms

Plain but spacious, and with free Wi-Fi; some have balconies and exercise bikes

Carpeted rooms are spacious and clean, and although they aren’t modern or stylish (think: simple wooden furnishings, industrial-style carpets, and unattractive bedspreads), most guests report that rooms are comfortable and even cozy. Several rooms have small balconies, though street views are unremarkable. The lack of air-conditioning can be a problem in the summer. Standard Rooms come with twin beds, work desks, small TVs, and safes. Executive Rooms have slightly larger TVs, plus tea-and coffee-making facilities. Some rooms have exercise bikes. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, though connection on higher floors can be spotty. Electricity only works when room cards are inserted into wall slots, which is energy-efficient, but can pose a problem for storing food or drinks in the mini-fridges in the Junior Suites. Extra cots and cribs can be requested.Bathrooms are small relative to the room sizes, and simply outfitted in plain white tile. Standard and Junior Suite bathrooms have shower/tub combos, while Executive bathrooms have only tiny walk-in showers with handheld showerheads. Hairdryers and toiletries are provided.

Features

Free breakfast buffet, free Wi-Fi throughout, and fees for parking

Features at Inos are limited, as most guests just use the hotel as a place to sleep and eat breakfast. A daily breakfast buffet is included with standard rates. The dining room itself is a bit dowdy, with floral tablecloths and stark white lights. However, the actual spread of food is decent, and includes fresh fruits and salads, various cold cereals, breads and pastries, cured meats, yogurts, and hot eggs along with tea, coffee, and juices. There is no pool or gym on-site, but the 24-hour hotel staff can help reserve tee times and tennis court reservations at the nearby Golf & Country Club Hodkovicky.  Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, and guests have free access to the one computer in the reception area. Beverages and small packaged snacks can be purchased at the front desk. There are no laundry facilities on-site, though laundry services are available during weekdays. Underground parking with a car lift is available for extra fees. Pets are accommodated for an additional fee.
