Hotel Yasmin is an upscale property with a stylish nature theme located just off Wenceslas Square in the center of Prague. Restaurants, shops, and sights such as Old Town are within walking distance, as is public transportation, but the property maintains a quiet feel. Its 196 rooms are modern and understated with streamlined furniture, minibars, and coffee/tea facilities. Features include a noodle restaurant and bar, a garden terrace for warm-weather dining, and a very small gym. Breakfast and Wi-Fi are free. Renovations to the lobby were ongoing as of April 2016, but guests report little to no noise disturbance; the property also plans to add a massage room and a glass roof to the terrace. Travelers could also consider MOODs Boutique Hotel, a hip upscale property with a small spa and Apple TVs for rent.
Scene
Nature-themed, contemporary hotel that draws couples
Though Hotel Yasmin occupies an elegant neoclassical building with a cream-colored stone facade, its decor is decidedly modern. Inside the lobby, the nature theme is immediately evident, extending throughout common areas. The black-tile floors are decorated with white leaves; walls are painted grassy green; and leaf-print designs cover a large mirror behind the long white reception desk. Several globe-like chrome lamps dangle overhead, furthering the slightly trendy, youthful vibe. The main restaurant has the same chrome lights, as well
as wooden floors, white and black futuristic chairs, and large tree-like sculptures. One of the nicest parts of the property is a lovely outdoor courtyard with a
wooden deck, white tables, and tan woven chairs shaded by white
umbrellas. Couples are the primary guests here, drawn to the hotel for its
modern design and good location near dining, shopping, and some of the city's most-visited sights.
