Scene

An opulent and historic upscale hotel

From the stately exterior to the grand
lobby, the Hotel Palace Praha is luxurious and welcoming with an authentic
Czech-inspired atmosphere. The open and airy lobby has a huge, striking glass light fixture and antique paintings provide a homey touch. Original architecture provides a cozy atmosphere, as do red plush armchairs, statues, and glowing chandeliers. Past guests at this property includes everyone from rock stars to movie producers to politicians, and their signed photographs
line the walls of the Cafe Palace. The top restaurant, Gourmet Club, has
consistently been ranked as one of the best establishments in Prague and is
elegant and classy with an original stained glass ceiling, patterned carpet, a
sweeping wood staircase, and fireplaces. L’Epoque, the breakfast restaurant,
has arches, chandeliers, and soft blue chairs in a bright and airy space while
the Cafe Palace is a bit moody with low ceilings, red carpet, and black leather
seating. On the top floor, the seasonal rooftop terrace provides phenomenal
views of the city. Ornate details and genuine Art Nouveau design make this
hotel feel intimate yet lavish from the first steps in the door.

Location

In Nove Mesto where tons of sights, eateries, and shops are within easy walking distance

The Hotel Palace Praha is located at the end of a quiet, one-way street in
Nove Mesto (New Town). It has a fantastic central
location where Old Town, Wenceslas Square, the Prague Opera, the Charles
Bridge, and many other tourist sights and businesses are within walking
distance. On the same street, there are grocery stores, public transportation
stops, restaurants, and boutique shops. A rental car is only necessary if
you plan on leaving the city.

Rooms

Classic and polished rooms with beautiful marble bathrooms

The traditionally elegant rooms are not as striking as the common
areas, but they are deluxe and stocked with perks. Red striped bed runners and pillows
match the red patterned carpets; there are green striped curtains as well.
There is some artwork on the walls along with lovely wood furniture and tan
armchairs for extra seating. Coffee/tea items, air-conditioning, and
flat-screen TVs mounted to the wall are in all rooms as are stocked minibars,
bathrobes, and slippers. Upgraded rooms include extras such as free bottled water,
discounts on food, and espresso machines. Additionally, the Palace Suite has an
in-room sauna and separate tub with walk-in shower. Gorgeous gray Carrara
marble bathrooms have shower/tub combos and make-up mirrors in addition to excellent
lighting. Some bathrooms only have showers. There’s a ton of counter
space and each bathroom has Nature Philosophy or Floris amenities.

Features

Excellent on-site restaurants; no on-site fitness center

The highlights of the hotel are the on-site restaurants. Gourmet Club, one of the top local eateries, has
live piano music in a beautiful environment with upscale international cuisine
while L’Epoque has a full American breakfast buffet and omelet
station. Cafe Palace serves main dishes, pastries, and coffee along with a full
bar, and there are weekday lunch specials. Room service is available 24-hours. On-site parking at the garage comes
with a daily fee, but there is a free business center in the lobby. Concierge
services are offered and staff can arrange personal trainer sessions at a local
fitness center since there isn't a work-out space on-site. The
hotel is pet-friendly with no restrictions and there is free Wi-Fi throughout.
