Tucked away on a cobblestoned lane in Prague's Old Town, Dolce Vita Suites is an upper-middle-range hotel with only 12 guest rooms. This historic building dates back to the 14th century and was completely renovated in 2013, though many of its charming period features, including high ceilings and exposed beams, have been retained. Rooms are bright and spacious. They include sofas, flat-screen TVs, electric kettles, and minibars. Features, however, are limited to an in-house Italian restaurant and a bar, and breakfast is neither free nor particularly outstanding. Guests can walk to the Astronomical Clock and Old Town Square within five minutes. Travelers looking for something larger may want to consider the Hotel Majestic Plaza Prague near Wenceslas Square instead.
Scene
Historic Old Town hotel with a quiet atmosphere that attracts vacationing couples
Tucked away on a narrow cobblestoned lane in Prague's historic Old Town, Dolce Vita Suites is a small, Italian-run boutique property set in a three-story 14th-century building with carved wooden doors. Apart from an illuminated reception counter, the rest of the decor in the cramped lobby area seems mismatched: photographic prints of Prague share space with plant holders set on tall cast iron stands and gilded chairs. Most guests are tourists, and the intimate atmosphere makes it a good choice for couples.
Location
In the heart of Prague's Old Town and walking distance from Mustek subway station
Dolce Vita Suites is located in Prague's Old Town, within walking distance of Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, and the Jewish Cemetery. Mustek subway station is an easy walk from here too, making most areas of the city accessible by public transit. There are also plenty of cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and shops in the immediate area.- Four-minute walk to the Astronomical Clock and Old Town Square
Rooms
Comfortable and bright rooms, some with Old Town views
Rooms in this renovated and historic building vary in size and layout. Some are accented by original details such as exposed rafters and stone walls. Hardwood floors and high ceilings make the rooms feel bright and spacious, while top-floor rooms feature sloped ceilings. All rooms have simple off-white furniture and black-and-gray patterned fabric headboards. All rooms are air-conditioned and come with sofas, flat-screen TVs, electric kettles, and minibars. Bathrooms are fitted with heated towel racks and include hairdryers. Most bathrooms have either (cramped) walk-in showers or bathtubs, and some have whirlpool tubs. The Maisonette Double Room features both a walk-in and a whirlpool bathtub. Some rooms have scenic views over the rooftops of Old Town, but street-facing rooms can get street noise, particularly on lower levels. A few past guests have complained about the noisy in-room fridges.
Features

Staff can organize airport transfers on request, and Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. Pets are welcome for a fee.
