Amigo City Centre Hotel

Because of its location in the monument preservation zone of Prague 2, the Amigo City Centre Hotel has kept all original architectural features throughout the hotel, helping to keep its Neo-Classical 19th-century vibe. The hotel is outfitted with details like dark Old World furniture and wooden beams, plus accents that include extravagant drawback curtains and a red-and-beige color scheme in the common areas. The look has its appeal, though might look stodgy or dated to some guests, despite being well-kept. Regardless, the quiet atmosphere matches the traditional style. This hotel is best suited for tourists, despite having spaces for meetings. In the summer, there's a lively outside garden that makes for a low-key social scene. Most of those staying here are couples and groups of friends, though plenty of families pass through as well. 

Amigo City Centre hotel is located just outside of the main city center, close enough to easily get to the main tourist destinations while being away from most the noisy goings on in the center of town. It's a pleasant 15-minute walk to Wenceslas Square, the main city square, as well as the National Museum and the Congress Center. The Old World decor is carried through to the rooms -- with wooden furniture and muted color schemes throughout, plus additional cozy details like wooden ceiling beams in some rooms. There's little artwork on the walls, and the matching bedding and drawback curtains make them look a bit dated. Rooms range from those that fit one to those that sleep up to four, though it's worth noting that Family Apartments have no actual apartment features, despite the name. Try to book a room with windows overlooking the garden terrace, as the rooms with a street view tend to be a bit noisy from the busy main street. All rooms come with heating, air-conditioning, minibars, work desks, flat-screen TVs, safe, phones, and electric kettles (though coffee and tea aren't free). Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms, however guests have complained of poor internet speeds. Each room has a large bathroom with a shower and pedestal sinks that lack much counter space. Bathrobe, shaving sets, slippers and other extras -- as well as ironing facilities -- are available free of charge upon request. Some of the Family Apartments have a shower/tub combo, and certain rooms are accessible.
