B&B Hotel Pisa

Tour buses parked in front of B&B Hotel Pisa are a common sight, since the hotel is popular with international groups of tourists who use the hotel to sleep and eat breakfast before exploring the city for the day. Tourists who need relatively fast access to the airport and train station are the other common group. The modern lobby is a nice place to linger, since it's furnished with black sofas and potted plants. A flat-screen TV and small shop selling cold drinks and snacks add to the living room ambience. Breakfast is served in a small room near the elevator banks. Past guests have occasionally complained about noisy groups of students. 

B&B Hotel Pisa is located in a nondescript industrial area off the freeway. There's a cute pizzeria, a grocery store, and a few gas stations in the neighborhood -- but little of interest for tourists. It's a 10-minute drive to Pisa International Airport and Pisa Central Station. Getting to the Leaning Tower of Pisa will take around an hour on foot or a 15-minute drive. There's a bus stop nearby, but it's not geared to tourist interests. 

Rooms are pleasant, clean, and well-maintained. They're spread over five stories and come in categories of Double, Triple, and Family Rooms. Decor is consistent and features laminate wood floors, white walls, large wooden headboards, and clean-lined blond-wood furniture. Mirrors, instead of art, hang on the walls and striped curtains and blue throw pillows add the only color to the spaces. All rooms include a small flat-screen TV (sometimes mounted to the wall), safe, air-conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. Family Rooms are two units via an adjoining door, nice for families who want space and privacy. Spacious bathrooms have a shower/tub combo or shower, toilet, bidet, sink, hairdryer, and toiletries. Views either overlook the hotel's parking lot or the industrial neighborhood. 

Features are limited here, as most guests are only in the hotel for sleeping and breakfast. The hot breakfast buffet costs extra, with different price points for kids and adults. The spread consists of cold cereals, Lavazza coffee, scrambled eggs, frankfurter sausages, yogurt, and fresh juice. For additional snacks and drinks, there are vending machines and a small shop with a refrigerated section. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. There's ample parking in a large lot out front. Reception staff can assist with bike rentals and taxi services. For guests that arrive after hours, there's an automated kiosk in the entrance for checking in. Note that there's a privately owned restaurant with a pool and conference center next to the hotel, but the hours are unpredictable and there's an additional price to use the facilities.
