Scene

Clean and comfortable chain property with rustic decor

The Ramada Pigeon Forge North is typical of the Ramada chain. The three-story building has white siding and a green roof, and the front porch offers a few wooden rocking chairs. Inside, the lobby decor combines refined and rustic elements. There are polished wood floors and a freshly painted white front desk, leading to a living room space with a stone fireplace and brown leather furniture. Walls are decorated with black-and-white photographs of log cabins and other southern imagery. The atmosphere is comfortable and family oriented, and most guests are tourists heading to Pigeon Forge or Smoky Mountains National Park. Front desk staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and can give good suggestions for places to shop and eat.

Location

10 minutes from center of Pigeon Forge and nine minutes to Dollywood Park

The hotel is located on the north side of Pigeon Forge and the immediate area includes a coffee shop, other hotels, and a mix of farm-to-table and fast food restaurants. This is a convenient location for tourists visiting central Pigeon Forge (10-minute drive) and Sevierville (seven-minute drive) as well as Gatlinburg (22-minute drive) and Great Smoky Mountains National Park (23-minute drive). Dollywood Park is a nine-minute drive away. An outlet shopping center, Tanger Five Oaks Outlets, is two minutes away by car, and a huge Christmas store is also nearby. Whitewater rafting, zip-line tours, and a Nascar speed track are all within a five- to 30-minute drive of the hotel. Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge Airport is about 10 to 15 minutes' drive, while McGhee-Tyson Airport is 45 minutes by car.

Rooms

Comfortable and clean with mini-fridges, microwaves, and coffeemakers

Rooms at the hotel are clean and have great beds. Decor is somewhat dated and dark, in shades of maroon, gold, and beige in carpet, bedding, walls, and drapes. There are dark-wood nightstands and cabinets for flat-screen TVs and each room has a pair of armchairs. Standard amenities also include mini-fridges, microwaves, coffee-and-tea-making facilities, ironing facilities, and free Wi-Fi. Suites have small round tables and nice heather-gray armchairs. Beige bathrooms have granite vanities, brown tile floors, and shower/tub combos, along with simple toiletries. Fixtures are dated. King Suites feature large stone fireplaces and in-room hot tubs.

Features

Free continental breakfast and an indoor pool

The Ramada Pigeon Forge North offers standard amenities for a budget chain property. Free continental breakfast is served daily and includes cereals, waffles, biscuits and gravy, breads, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. There is no lunch or dinner service at the restaurant. An indoor pool is situated in a pleasant room with many windows for natural light. There are plastic loungers on the stone deck and a small sauna. Part of the pool is a jetted tub area. The hotel has a tiny gym with carpeted floors and a few dated cardio machines. A barebones meeting room is also available. Coin-operated laundry facilities are a nice on-site convenience. Outdoor parking and Wi-Fi are free.
