10-minute drive to Island at Pigeon Forge and Dollywood
The two-pearl Conner Hill Motor Lodge is located on the southern side of Pigeon Forge about a 10-minute drive from Dollywood. The motel-style complex has a decent number of features like a free breakfast with Krispy Kreme doughnuts and an outdoor pool. The rooms are dated in style, but come with convenient amenities like mini-fridges and microwaves. While most guests are happy that the rooms are clean and well-maintained, noise from other guests sitting and chatting in chairs outside their rooms in the evenings can be a bother. Conveniently, the trolley stops just outside the hotel. Travelers may want to consider the Baymont Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge as the rooms are in better shape and it’s within walking distance to the Island in Pigeon Forge.
Scene
Motel with few public spaces and a clientele of budget-minded travelers
Conner Hill Motor Lodge is a no-frills motel on the southern edge of Pigeon Forge. It has the look of a typical motel: two stories, lots of parking, and a large retro sign with the hotel’s name. There’s a small lobby that manages to fit a front desk and an armchair in the same room as a breakfast area with a wraparound counter and four simple tables with chairs. Though there aren't many public spaces, the hotel provides some plastic chairs interspersed between the rooms and two rocking chairs for visitors to sit outside and relax.
Location
Next to the Dixie Stampede and a two-minute walk to the Smoky Mountains Convention Center
Conner Hill Motor Lodge is located on the main drag of Highway 321 in Pigeon Forge, meaning it’s surrounded by tons of dining options, most notably the Dixie Stampede, a dinner theater. It’s a two-minute walk to the Smoky Mountains Convention Center and a 23-minute walk from the Gatlinburg Golf Course. Popular Pigeon Forge places like the Island at Pigeon Forge and Magi Quest take nine minutes to reach by car. Dollywood takes 10 minutes to reach by car. The Great Smoky Mountains is a 22-minute drive. Those who don’t want to drive (or park) will be delighted to discover that the trolley service stops outside the hotel. It’s a 15-minute drive to the Gatlinburg Pigeon Forge Airport.
Rooms
Contemporary, albeit slightly dated rooms with microwaves, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers
There is nothing especially modern about the decor at Conner Hill Motor Lodge, though rooms are decently spacious and have convenient features. Decor consists mostly of brick-red and beige colored bedding that clashes with the red carpet and soft orange walls. Simple furniture adds to the overall dated look. Most guests note that rooms are fairly clean. Despite lacking style, amenities include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and microwaves. The bathrooms are simple and come with spacious sink countertops separate from the shower/tub combos. Toiletries and hairdryers are provided. Take note that guests report bothersome outside noise from traffic and neighbors milling about in the evenings.
Features
Outdoor swimming pool and free basic breakfast buffet
There are few features at this budget property, but it still manages to deliver with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a free breakfast of cereals, toast, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, juice, and coffee. Vending machines are provided for those in need of a snack. Both Wi-Fi and parking are free of charge.
